Aloosh — Restaurant in London

Wow, Aloosh really comes through for you! It is fairly unusual to find an affordable place to eat where the food is of a fresh and high standard. It is perfect as you are driving past after a night in London and is open quite late! Last night was one such night and I had the mixed shawarma wrap, served open, which was delicious and full of surprises, like the pickled turnip, although the menu has plenty of choice, the wrap is one of my favourite "go to" dishes. Sal always remembers me, and just how I like it. Now, let's just talk about tomatoes, most restaurants will try to pass off rubbish tomatoes, no flavour, green, hard texture, but I swear, I could have been somewhere south in the Mediterranean region; the flavour was so excellent in the tomatoes. He could use the nasty cheap tomatoes, but he is passionate about the flavour and authenticity as I know he imports in some special ingredients. This is NOT just your basic, average kebab shop, which will give you a bad tummy later, it's like the more expensive Turkish restaurants, but much more casual, take away or eat out side if the weather is warm. Sal puts a lot passion into the business, he stays open late, for his regulars, he is a family man, warm and gentle, takes an interest in your day and family, and of course, don't underestimate the freshness and quality of what he puts into his food. Aloosh is a quality Lebanese shawarma takeaway!! The food is excellent quality and taste, portion is massive, very very generous. Lots of shawarma meat in mix shawarma, and chicken Shish pieces in meal. The rice is nice and chips. The service is very friendly id dining in with lots of traditional touches like bringing basket of bread and dips. They were so lovely and helpful and food tasted amazing. They’re also open late on the weekends so perfect after a night out. The inside dining area is a little grubby but it’s okay it’s sort of matches the place as a takeaway not really restaurant. The price is also great value as a drink is included in meal which can be fresh juice even which was amazing, and the portion is giant so it’s a great value meal. The only thing is I think they made an error with the bill as it was more than it should have been for 3 meals, but I believe this was a genuine error and we didn’t mind as we’d had...

This was a amazing place, was fresh and tasty this review is about 2 places after I went to New Cross fish and this is what happened I was passing bye and fancied a keba, the owner asked if I wanted chips or pitta, i asked for pitta when he was making it he was putting the meat on top of the pitta in the box when I asked him why he said you get more and other kebab shops cheating me. As I left I opened the box to eat it and when I took the pitta it just crumbled wasn’t fresh at all. I moved the pitta and the was hardly any meat or salad in the box when I went back to show him he was very rude saying I ask to many questions. STAY AWAY.
