Badu Café is located by a food court with many surrounding amenities. The area is cozy and feels like home - brings a hint of nostalgia with modern interior and the fun & noise outside. It was difficult to rate 4 or 5 stars however Badu Café could make a few improvements:
Staff was friendly - definitely but there are few gaps in service - just the small things. Such as the urge to clean up was quite frequent when our table did not finish our food (2 plates). Staff was kind of course, but I believe are missing a few professional points and gestures.
Staff occupying space that could be used by other customers could be resolved.
Opening & closing times should be made more clearer. Thought it was closing at 7 as suggested on the website however was closing at 6pm.
Food could be improved as well - the drink was good but as a small piece of cake, the prices should tie into its quantity. The sandwich was ok but not worth at all: I opted for salmon and cream cheese which costed £4, for a thin simple sandwich with very little filling (As shown in the photo).

There were people waiting on cakes for ages like it was...

I also ordered a toaster bagel with butter, which was appalling. I paid £3.50 for a Warburtons bagel that was thrown in a panini press so didn't toast, it just warmed and was then spread with flora light and came out soggy. However, the member of staff who made and served the bagel was much friendlier than the other staff member.
My advice would be to try one of the other nearby cafés because this place...
