Solid Italian restaurant with some pretty good food options!
We booked reservations for this restaurant about a week in advance due to some of the hype around it, but when we got there, it wasn't too busy so we could have probably passed on the reservation. Just a note, if you do decide on a reservation, you will need to put a card down. If someone doesn't show up that day, you'll be responsible for a £25 charge, so if you're not going during a busy time, maybe pass on the reservation.
Our group decided on a bottle of wine and several different appetizers including calamari, grilled octopus, and olives. The apps were very good. The portions were definitely shareable but not too overwhelming. For our main meals, we ordered the gnocchi, two orders of prawn linguine, and two orders of maccheroni porcine mushrooms and truffle, one of which they made vegan which was really great for our one friend who has dietary restrictions. All the dinners were pretty delicious. I had the prawn linguine which was really good but would have liked the sauce to have a little more flavor. 7/10. My wife had the gnocchi which was good but a bit too rich in cheese. 5/10.
We also got desserts. I ordered an apple crumble which was a bit like a deconstructed version of it. I wasn't a big fan of the apple crumble but the ice cream that came with it was really good. 4/10. My wife ordered the mini Nutella donuts which she shared with some of her friends. It was hot, fresh, warm and filled. 8/10, highly recommend.
Service and atmosphere were both really great. We were there for hours and felt very welcomed and not pressured to leave.
Definitely give this place a try. I'm sure you'll find something...
Read moreWhenever my mother and I go out in London, we always try and find an independent restaurant to have lunch/dinner. We find that independent places care more about their customers and food because they aren't part of a chain and it is their livelihood. We found this place years ago and then forgot where it was and could never find it again. Then we decided that we would make it our mission to find it again and luckily we did!
I really enjoyed it the first time I went there and we enjoyed it just as much when we went a second time.
The atmosphere is nice and quiet. A place where you can sit and have a nice meal and drink without having to shout to have a conversation. Generally a really good vibe.
The drinks were really nice. We had a berry cocktail gin drink which tasted lovely. We were also offered water which was a nice touch and was not charged for this, great!
For starters we had bread, olives, oil and calamari. The bread was nice and mixing it with the oil and olives was a nice addition. The calamari was cooked to perfection. I probably could have done with a whole bowl of that for my main.
For my main I had the lasagna and ordered some chips on the side. I probably shouldn't have done this because the lasagna would have been more than enough for me. The lasagna tasted very good. It tasted like a classic Italian lasagna. Lovely and creamy with lots of cheese and meat. The chips were also nice but I couldn't eat all of it.
The service was lovely and our waiter was very caring and helpful.
Overall, this was a lovely place to have dinner and I would happily go again.

Read moreI went for dinner with a friend. The restaurant, very casual in style, looks nice and reminds of an Italian bar, as the name suggests.
On to the review: we ordered a shared starter (gnocco fritto with prosciutto crudo) and each a first course (I personally got the pasta with ‘nduja, sausage and broccoli), plus two beers and water.
To be honest, the overall mark I am going to give (2 stars) feels fair for the place (should probably be a 2.5 if available), but I hope they...
