To make this concise:
The food is SO fresh, everyday, I eat here almost every single day for lunch, and it is so consistent I’ve never had a bad meal. Tastes the exact same every time. So full of flavour and perfectly cooked every time.
Portion sizes are fantastic. You won’t get such good quality ingredients, made fresh, at this amount.
if I want to just eat one meal to last me till 9pm, I’ll ask for extra chicken or whatever I’m getting. They don’t charge a lot and you actually see the extra, unlike most places who just add a few crumbs extra and still take your money.
their place is very clean, never dirty, no sticky chairs or tables.
I don’t recommend going between 12pm- 1pm because of the office rush hour, prepare to wait 15 minutes (although the queue moves very quickly). You also will struggle getting a table sitting down during those times.
This is by far the best value for money anywhere I’ve been in London, and I’ve...
Read moreCompetitively priced Japanese comfort food. The best bento I've had for miles. The owner is a pleasure and the staff professional and lovely. Extremely snappy service and the taste is of phenomenal quality. The place is rather small but they offer you a better price for takeaway.
In terms of suggestions, I highly recommend the chicken katsu bento with extra mustard. Going for a meal around 1-2 pm will usually result in a queue, but once again the service is fast and you'll reach the counter quickly. The trick to this place is arriving half an hour before Bento-ya closes, at 4 o'clock, for an insane 50% off all hot & cold items. They truly care about their customers, the environment, waste and great taste.
I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. As you can probably tell, I'm a regular. As an aside, check out the owner's YouTube channel - Cooking with Chef Dai - to witness their authentic...

Food so good it turns you all poetic.
It's a little place, five seats inside, along the right hand wall. Three tables outside. Most of the customers who came In while I was there (and there were a lot!) Ordered to go. Service was quick, and the host was cheery and polite. The food was hot and your choices are bento of varied types, chicken, salmon and pork being some, as well as Japanese curry of the same varieties. Then you have your karaage and your gyoza and your sushi. A cute little Japanese restaurant with a great host and great menu. The place is scrupulously clean and has a bright and cheery feel to it. Be aware it gets very busy at lunch, but you're not waiting too long to be served.
I have been here several times to be honest, and I've always come away...
