From the moment we walked in, it was clear this restaurant is in a league of its own. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between elegant and cozy, with warm lighting, tasteful décor, and just the right volume of background music to allow conversation to flow.

We were greeted with genuine smiles and seated promptly. The service throughout the evening was impeccable — attentive without being intrusive, and every recommendation from our server was spot on.

Now, the food — absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was a masterpiece, both visually and in flavor. The appetizer (we chose the chef’s signature starter) was an explosion of taste and set the tone for the evening. For the main course, the [insert dish, e.g., pan-seared sea bass with a citrus glaze] was perfectly cooked and seasoned, accompanied by sides that complemented it beautifully. The dessert was the grand finale: rich, inventive, and utterly satisfying.

What truly sets this restaurant apart is the attention to detail. You can tell the chefs care deeply about their craft — each plate was a testament to quality ingredients and culinary expertise. Even the wine list was carefully curated, and our pairing elevated the entire meal.

This restaurant isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a place to savor, celebrate, and remember. Whether you’re looking for a romantic evening, a special celebration, or simply an extraordinary meal, look no further. We’ll definitely be returning — and bringing...

I visited Bill’s with my sister on a Saturday and, anticipating it would be busy, made a reservation. Upon arrival, a queue had already formed. We informed the manager of our reservation, and he noted my name. However, a walk-in customer was seated before us, which seemed odd. When I asked about our turn, the host (George) appeared dismissive and even asked for my name again.

Once seated, service was slow. It took a long time to place our order, and despite repeated requests, I only received water after asking three times. The couple next to us, seated later, had their order taken promptly. When our meal finally arrived, it was cold, and the pancakes were dry with little syrup or fruit. Even requesting extra syrup was a hassle, requiring multiple attempts before I was acknowledged.

The atmosphere was uncomfortable. Staff appeared attentive only to visibly affluent customers, offering consistent reassurance and care to others while ignoring us. To make matters worse, I noticed mice droppings on the ledge near my seat (picture attached), which was both disgusting and deeply disturbing for a dining establishment.

This experience was disappointing and disheartening, especially given a friend’s previous report of a racist incident at the same Bill’s. I won’t...

I don’t understand why Bill’s is always jam-packed because the food does not impress. Beware that they try to tack on a tip to your bill, which already includes a service charge.

The Hippy Bowl was colourful and looked appetising, but lacked much seasoning. It seems like the dish is meant to let the natural flavours shine. If you like “clean” flavours, then you might enjoy this. There was the turmeric and mint yoghurt, but it tasted strange to me. The bed of grains and lentils was flat out bland. I ended up dumping a lot of salt onto this dish to make it palatable.

My husband wasn’t overly impressed by his pancake stack with fruit, either. Although it tasted good, fruit and syrup were significantly lacking, especially since the pancakes were dry and hard to down towards the end of the meal. The toppings were probably good for 2-3 pancakes, not 5.

The restaurant also had a pungent burnt oil smell lingering in the air.

We won’t be going to another Bill’s again. You can get better food elsewhere and not have to deal with being squeezed into a noisy restaurant. The only thing I can really commend them on is seating you quite promptly according to your reservation time despite how crowded...

I decided to stay at the Marylebone Inn Hotel the night before a busy event at Old Marylebone Town Hall, and Bill’s Baker Street restaurant was the perfect spot for dinner. The restaurant has a quirky, vibrant atmosphere with fun interior decor, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, especially José, a friendly Portuguese waiter with whom I had a lovely conversation in Portuguese. We hadn’t been to Bill’s in several years, possibly not since before the pandemic, and I have to say the food has improved significantly. It was fun, delicious, and exceeded our expectations. While the prices are higher, the great atmosphere and beautiful interiors make it worth it if you want to treat yourself to a special evening. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here the night before a significant event: the 100th-anniversary celebration of the Old Marylebone Town Hall, where I was one of the in-house wedding photographers. Bill’s made the evening before such an important day extra special. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and memorable dining experience.
