Dropping by on Wednesday 13th! What a wonderful use of the small island building as a takeaway coffee station poised, intersection of Marylebone Road and Baker Street, under the watchful eye of Sherlock Holmes! Thank You Andreia (head barista) Baker Street branch for your warm, geniune, professional customer service. It's the people that maketh the place; and Andreia, you certainly have quite an indepth knowledge on coffee, for the brief time I remained, we both had quite an animated and interesting chat about coffee, enjoying your promptly served Robusto flat white coffee even more so, moulded a wonderful experience and memory to treasure. Enveloped by crisp, clean air, an orchestral cacophony of traffic both motor and human passing, blanket voices filtering the air and sound's of countless foot-falls on pathways near...added to my Day! Hand-on-Heart! I wish Andreia and her team every success now, and for the future! 😄☘️ Gerry

I really like Black Sheep Coffee. They use a great blend of coffee beans, their baristas are always friendly, especially first thing in the morning and they have so far made my coffee perfectly, even when I ask for special treatment like "warm", which you would be surprised at how many other coffee shops ignore or get utterly wrong. This branch by Great Portland Street station is a life-saver on an almost daily basis. Yes, there are other places to get coffee in close proximity, but I will keep coming here as long as I can. About the shop: There is no inside seating, so if you do want to stay and sit then on cold days I would bring a coat. Space is limited inside by the counter but they are usually very fast getting coffee to you, even if there are people queuing out of the door.

OK so I should have taken the photo when the cup was full, but the coffee was so nice that I couldn't wait to drink it. It's my first visit to Black Sheep, having seen it many times before. There's enough outdoor seating to make up for the lack of it indoors. Upon stepping in I was welcomed by the baristas which is always nice. I don't have milk in my coffee so opted for the filter brew, of which there were two beans on offer. The barista suggested the best way to decide was to try them, and poured out sizeable quantities of both brews. Very helpful and friendly, great coffee, and as they sold beans I took some of those to cold brew at home. Will return when in the area. Edit: have returned and having cold brew. Delicious!

I’ve been to this location a few times, but unfortunately, my recent experience left me very disappointed. My friend and I ordered Dirty Chai Lattes via the app, and while my friend’s order was ready quickly and tasted fine, mine was another story.

For the second Saturday in a row, my Dirty Chai Latte had no hint of chai or coffee—it tasted like plain hot milk. I decided to return it and politely ask for a replacement. Unfortunately, the barista (a young man with a scar on his eyebrow) responded in a passive-aggressive and defensive manner, insisting there was nothing wrong with the drink.

Thankfully, a female staff member stepped in and kindly offered to remake it. During the process, the original barista grabbed a bottle of chai syrup from the shelf—apparently the one he had been using was empty, which likely explains the lack of flavor in the first drink. He then added an excessive amount of syrup and made intense eye contact with me, which felt unnecessarily confrontational.

To make things worse, he forgot to add the coffee entirely, resulting in an overly sweet drink that was even worse than the first. At that point, I decided not to continue the conversation in-store, but I will be contacting the general manager to report the experience.

It’s incredibly frustrating to pay premium prices for a product that’s poorly made—not just once, but twice—and to be treated with hostility when raising a genuine concern. I hope the management team addresses the quality control and staff training at this location, as this kind of experience reflects poorly on the Black Sheep...

Have been a regular here for a few years now. Generally the coffee is really good but varies depending on who makes it. There's a guy called Eli (unsure of spelling) who makes an amazing latte, is very friendly and has great customer service skills even when they are extremely busy. If he is making the coffee I always go in to get one because I know it will be worth the ÂŁ3.20! However today I was served by a (new?) Girl who has dark hair. She put my coffee down on the counter in such a rush that the coffee spilt over and was dripping down the side of the cup. When I managed to get her attention she told me that it's fine... well it's not really fine if I get coffee all over my hands when I try to pick up my coffee, and if it spills onto my coat and shoes. She eventually cleaned the counter top but I had to clean the cup myself. Also, every drop of coffee counts so I wasn't happy that I lost some. Wasn't happy with the service today, but usually it's been...
