🚇 Tottenham Court Road 🍺 £6.00 Mahou ❤️ A famous West End watering hole. . Bradley’s Spanish Bar is located on Hanway Street which is just off Oxford Street. The nearest tube is Tottenham Court Road. . This old school London pub is decorated in the red and yellow of the Spanish flag and opened its doors back in the 1950’s. . There are two bars, a small bar and ground level and a larger bar in the basement. The decor here is dated with a 1980’s local pub feel, which I love. Around the walls are an eclectic mix of prints, postcards , bank notes and pictures of loyal locals. The seating is limited on the ground floor to a comfy banquette with a few low tables and a few stools around the bar, downstairs there is a bit more room but be sure nab a seat when you see one. . Although the name of the pub eludes to an Iberian offering, you wont find any tapas and the like on offer here. What you do get is a good range of Spanish lagers and some homegrown ones too. I opted for a pint of Mahou, I checked with the barman before ordering the correct pronunciation, he said it’s pronounced “Mao” not “Mahoo” as most punters have said. My pint was very agreeable, hit the spot and wasn’t overly expensive. . There is a low-key and unpretentious vibe here and you immediately feel welcome. I have visited this pub a few times over the years and have always enjoyed the atmosphere. This visit was on a Saturday afternoon and the bar was a mix of tourists from Sweden, USA and Ireland plus locals all engaging in a good old chat. The star of the show is the legendary Jukebox which spins 45’s from years ranging from the 50’s to the 90’s. Its was great hearing Blue Monday by New Order blast out from this superb machine. The service here is great, the bar staff are very chatty and take all sorts of conversations in their stride. . @bradleysspanishbar is one of London’s pub gems, when you talk to someone about visiting here they often tell you a story about their experience and always mention the Jukebox. Definitely plan yourself a visit here as part of trip to the West End. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 28.05.22

A hugely underrated and underappreciated hidden gem. Having tried EVERY pub/bar in central London, and I mean that seriously, this is the only one I'll visit every time I come into Central London. My favourite without a doubt. Spanish themed, obviously, and a few Spanish beers on draft. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. A great atmosphere within, especially on busy nights. The Jukebox is such a huge thing to the place and has great tracks on it. On really busy nights at peak times you might be stood outside with your drink, but you'll understand if you go there what a great vibe it is if you do. Located VERY close to Tottenham Court road tube station at the end of Oxford Street.

I visited here on a hot Thursday afternoon at 3.30pm and it was already quite busy. I bought a nice pint of London Pride at £6.80. There were no cask ales and a limited selection of spirits. This is not surprising as the pub is limited for space. There is a small bar at ground level and a similar sized bar downstairs. They have an old style jukebox although it was unplugged when I visited. Given the limited space inside a lot of people were drinking outside even though there is no seating. The location is great, just 50 yards from New Oxford St. The toilets are downstairs which may be a problem for the less mobile. An unusual pub but worth a visit.

I've been coming here since 2010. I used to work next door. Whenever I was out and about downtown, Bradley's was always a first place I'd pop in to for a drink and always take a friend with me. I've introduced this pub to quite a few people who have since become your customers but that's all going to stop after the way I was treated last night by your extremely rude and unprofessional members of staff. It was quite chilly yesterday evening and a friend and I popped in for a cosy surrounding and a couple of drinks. What was especially more chilly was the service I received from the young man behind the bar. Regardless we took our drinks and sat down. Shortly after, this rude member of staff came over and opened the front door, so we and other customers were sat in a draft and plumes of cigarette smoke. A customer got up to close the door for the rude bar man to shout at her and tell her to leave it open. I walked up to the bar and politely asked if the door could be shut. He responded in a cold and rude manner 'give me five minutes, I've only just opened it' I reminded him that we were paying customers and if the majority of us want this door closed he should close it. He gave me a disgusted look and said 'I work here and it smells in here' as if to say I was the smell or something? Anyway, my friend and I decided to go downstairs instead and I took it upon myself to complain about this mans behaviour to the old irish chap. He apologised on behalf and told me he'd have a word. About half an hour later, my friend and I were ushered out of the downstairs bar because it was closing. I got up and jokingly said to my friend 'lets go back upstairs to misery guts' and the old irish chap asked me to repeat what I had said. I apologised and told the Irish guy I was talking to my friend and not him and turned for the steps. The next moments are shocking. He calls at me from the bottom of the steps and claims I had caused trouble in the bar before and I deserved the way I was spoken to! I actually couldn't believe what was happening. I was deeply embarrassed and very upset. I have never caused trouble in any bar in my life, especially this place! A place I've been coming to for years. Spending my hard earned cash in. I was gobsmacked! After this accusation, I calmly asked if he could please proove me an example. He couldn't. His response was that a source of information told him and that he had no proof or example. My friend and I were stunned that we were actually being treated like this. I argued and asked him a few more times to give an example of what he was accusing me for. He couldn't. What a...

Upon finding this bar, we were really excited, especially as my partner is Spanish and the security guard said they would be showing the England game and there was plenty of space downstairs! The security guard was an absolute legend and extremely friendly as well as one other Spanish gentleman upstairs! However, as we went downstairs, we were 'greeted' by an EXTREMELY RUDE man who said there was "no space"... and asked what we were doing there. (Appalling customer service! Not even a hello or anything!) He then said he would ask his colleague if we could sit in to watch. He, however didn't do that and just stayed sat, staring at us. I had a drink in my hand from a takeaway, which I said I'd happily throw away as he said this wasn't allowed. I stood near the bottom of the stairs waiting for him to ask his colleague, but he just stayed sat down on the stool and said that everyone was "outside smoking" and it was filled up (despite there being literally no one downstairs) and only 4 people outside smoking, as I myself had just finished a cigarette. I, myself work in hospitality and this was by far the worst customer service I have ever received. I am understanding and would have simply thanked him for his time, had he just politely said there was no space. He was rude, judgemental and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. We stayed for one beer upstairs, as we were already there but decided to leave, as the experience from downstairs really ruined the vibe and atmosphere.

I very rarely write negative reviews, but I was extremely upset and uncomfortable with what happened and simply put, it's unacceptable to treat any customer like that.

Honestly it's such a shame, because the staff upstairs (especially the security guard) were so lovely but the experience was ruined because of your...
