I had such a great time at Pizza Pilgrims in Soho. Everything from the food to the service was excellent. A special shoutout to Giovanni, who truly made our visit memorable. He was incredibly polite and helpful while we were choosing our pizzas, offering thoughtful recommendations and checking in with us during the meal to make sure we had everything we needed. His friendly and attentive service really stood out.
The pizzas were absolutely delicious. The dough was light and airy, the toppings were fresh and full of flavour, and everything was cooked to perfection. We also tried the tiramisu for dessert, which was rich, creamy, and the perfect balance of coffee and sweetness.
But the real showstopper was the Nutella pizza ring with ice cream. It was warm, gooey, and completely indulgent, with just the right amount of crunch on the outside and smooth chocolate inside. An ideal way to end the meal.
The atmosphere was fantastic as well. The place had a warm, lively feel that reminded me of being in Italy. From the decor to the music and the overall vibe, it felt like a little escape to Naples right in the middle of London.
I highly recommend Pizza Pilgrims Soho for anyone who loves authentic Italian food, great service, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. I will...
Read moreWe've been eating at Pizza Pilgrims restaurants for about ten years now, including their Dean St restaurant, one of, if not, THE first. I'm going to preface my review by stating that ten years ago, it was without doubt the best pizza in london and outside of Naples for authentic, Italian pizza. However, over the years, the quality has diminished somewhat. It's still a really good pizza. But the dough and the crust isn't quite what it once was, sometimes the toppings will come overcooked and the pizza lacks that punch from the fresh produce. Also, they used to make an amazing Calzone. I hardly ever order canzone in a pizza restaurant but PPs was đ I used to add some extra nduja to it and it was amazing. Such a shame they took that off the menu and it never returned. Back to my recent visit to Dean Street, the service was amazing and the standard of the food was definitely an improvement on what we've come to expect from pizza Pilgrims over the past few years. Maybe they've turned a corner, or maybe we haven't been coming to their Dean Street...
Read moreThis was undoubtedly some of the best pizza I have had in my entire life. The base was thin and chewy with an airy, but crunchy crust. There was a prefect ratio of tomato sauce to cheese, and the sauce had an amazing flavour. The mozzarella was stringy and the basil added an extra freshness. I ordered a margarita with olives, my sister ordered an extra margarita which came with a small buffalo mozzarella on the top. My mum cannot eat gluten, and so she ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza which she said came with a delicious chilli honey drizzled on top. My dad also ordered a rocket and parmesan salad with balsamic vinegar on top. He said there was very high quality parmesan and it was a generous portion; he thoroughly enjoyed this. We sat in a little area with three table in it and felt like a cozy little bomb shelter or cubby hole. The atmosphere, although cramped, actually contributed a large amount to how much my family and I enjoyed this experience. I rarely give restaurants 5 stars, but this was exceptional and we will definitely be...
