I visited the place at a quiet time, when there were only three tables occupied (around 12:30 p.m.). I arrived with four colleagues, each ordering a coffee directly at the bar. I was the last to order: two portions of Spanish tortilla to share at the table and a coffee with oat milk. Only one tortilla arrived. To my complete surprise, it was full of black pepper. This ingredient is not part of the Spanish tortilla, so it should be stated on the display label. As I have a restriction on peppers, I couldn't eat it. My colleagues, who were unfamiliar with the dish, tasted it and didn't like it (besides, it was very dry, and I couldn't tell if it contained onion). As soon as I tasted it, I suggested that if the recipe for a country's traditional dish is changed, this should be communicated to the consumer. I gave up on the second portion. There was no initiative to replace the dish or give me another gluten-free option, as I had requested when I arrived. In other words, I went without eating! My coffee was not served until my colleagues had almost finished drinking theirs. When I asked about the missing coffee, they had forgotten it and took even longer to prepare it and deliver it to the table without confirming the order. I mean, I had to call the waitress back to make sure that what she was serving me was oat milk. I ask for special care to be taken with customers who announce at the time of ordering that they have dietary restrictions. Eating with doubts is very stressful and makes us give up...
Read moreI only work around the corner and do pop in from time to time. I was in the bakery this morning at around 7.30 and served by Infa. I was getting a breakfast but tempted to get some Christmas biscuits from the table. I was enquiring on the baguette shaped biscuit that was displayed on the table, unfortunately she didn't know. Her colleague Anna kindly answered that it was Christmas log with almond taste.
From this point, Infa became stroppy. I asked to order for big meaty breakfast with sunny-side up eggs. I was told they start serving breakfast at 8 which was understandable. But she said the chef don't "customised" order doing sunny side up eggs. The menu clearly said I could choose poach, scrambled or fried egg. And sunny-side up is only frying the egg on one side.
It is all understandable but if Infa could informed me in a nicer way. That would be be very much appreciated. I felt like I was being scolded by her and it shouldn't be this way. Maybe she is not a morning person!

Read moreThe bread and pastries are amazing, the service leaves me disappointed.
I am a regular customer who usually buys bread and pastries after work around 18:30, and stops for a coffee now and again. This is not a problem usually but the final straw for me was today (16 October 23) when I came at 18:40.
Immediately upon stepping in the lady told me that they were shut and asked me to leave. I then queried about the time, asking if their hours had changed and she said they shut at 18:30 and that Good to Go orders had been cancelled, interrupting me at every sentence to tell me that the shop was closed. She pointed to the door, shutting it behind me and locking as soon as I stepped out. Quite the hospitality.
Disappointed as I have no intention of experiencing this level of service again. I am also now genuinely confused as to what time the shop shuts, is it 19:00 as per the website/google or a new unadvertised 18:30...
