Located on Ferdinand Street, Camden, right across from Morrison's, BUK - Camden Town is a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience. I recently visited with my friends and was blown away by their food, welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service.
One thing to especially mention is that this is Halal Burger Shop. People who look for best burger and halal food, this is the place.
Food: We tried several items, and each one was amazing. The Chicken Special burger was a standoutâ with just the right amount of chilli sauce and a fresh crunch of lettuce. The Beef Special didnât disappoint either, with two perfectly smashed beef patties, American cheese, and caramelized onions, creating a rich, flavorful combination.
Their Tower Burger is an absolute must-try for anyone with a big appetite. Stacked high with multiple patties, cheese, pickles, and their house sauce, it's a true feast. For sides, the Cheesy Fries were indulgent and delicious, loaded with melted cheese, while the Garlic Aioli Fries added a perfect garlicky kick that paired wonderfully with everything. The Buffalo Wings are a great pickâjuicy, tender, and just spicy enough to keep you coming back for more. To top it all off, their Chocolate Milkshake and Pistachio Milkshake are thick making for the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
Atmosphere: BUK has a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets it apart from many places in Camden. The interior is modern yet cozy, with an eye-catching color scheme that blends earthy tones with bold splashes of color. What I loved most were the actual plants scattered around the space, adding a refreshing, natural feel to the dining area. It creates a perfect balance between a trendy vibe and a laid-back, comfortable settingâideal for a casual meal with friends or a relaxed dinner.
Service: The service was top-notch throughout my visit. The staff were friendly, attentive, and happy to recommend dishes based on what I was in the mood for. They checked in regularly without being overbearing, which added to the overall great experience.
Whether you're in the area shopping or exploring Camden, BUK - Camden Town on Ferdinand Street is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service. Iâll...
Read moreWent on Saturday evening Ordered takeaway of Chicken burger 5/10 Chefs chicken 7/10 Cheesy chicken strip burger 4/10 Fries 2/10 Cheesy fries 1/10 Onion rings 1/10
I had heard so many positive things about this restaurant on social media platforms and drove for over an hour across London to check it out. Boy, was that a bad idea...
The customer service was good and the kind bearded chap took my order (arrived around 18:50)and set my expectations as to what time it would be ready (15-20 mins) . I returned after 20 mins and after a further wait was handed my order and returned to my car (parked 2 min walk away from restaurant) to check out the food.
To my horror, the fries were surprisingly lukewarm and the cheesy fries were cold. There's nothing worse than eating cold cheesy fries and tried my best to finish them off before deciding to make a start on the burgers and onion rings.
The onion rings, pecularily were of the red onion variety and were battered, when I was expecting crispy breaded onion rings. Unfortunately the onion rings were soggy and distasteful. Really don't think its a good idea to use red onions in an onion ring.
The Chefs chicken burger was the tastiest of the 3 and had a nice subtle kick with the masala sauce. Secondly the chicken burger was nice but would have expected it to be a bit more crunchy/crispy.
The cheesy strip burger was almost inedible and in fact, regrettably had to be thrown away as the cheese was too overwhelming and the burger literally left a bad taste in my mouth.
1 star may be unkind, but the cold fries and onion rings were a huge let down and also the taste of the cheesy strip burger...
Read moreFasting people, donât even bother! If youâre going for iftar, go atleast 2 hours earlier and you might have a chance of getting your food on time! Went yesterday, Sunday 24th April 22. Only one table out of the 9 sets of groups had their food, it seems they prioritise takeaways over those inside. I asked several times for a time, initially it was 45 minutes which is understandable being busy, I asked many times in between as did others, funny enough, got to 55 minutes of waiting for me to ask again and find out itâs gonna take another 20 minutes minimum. I feel sorry for the waitresses because what control do they have over the cook. Management is all over the place, no existent, for an established business, itâs shocking to experience such disastrous organisation in there. Just like 2 other couples did earlier, I had to find another place called Sapores, food came out in 15 - 20 minutes of ordering. One man came in who ordered via online, said that his food was ready but was told to come back after 35minutes as it wasnât ready. If management are reading this, you really need to sort it out, very disappointed of how your organisation skills are, maybe have a manager to maintain the place rather than rely on the workers to do that! Iâd give zero if it had an option!! Ohhhh, in the time I was in there, only 6 or 7 takeaways went out. Have you guys only got 1 cook in the kitchen? Because thatâs what it...
