Burger Base ️ Hounslow — Restaurant in London

The good, for the most part clean, bright, and very new premises. Lots of very inviting seating even on a busy Saturday afternoon, a plus for anybody who doesn't like being crammed in elbow to elbow with strangers, but there's a reason for that. Ordering on the touch screen was quick and easy, the staff had the time to be more attentive than I normally expect in a fast food restaurant, but I guess there's a reason for that too. The freshly fried French fries were hot crispy and tasty, and for good reason.

The bad, I waited much longer than I'd normally expect for a fast food restaurant, much longer a lack of customers meant that everything was being freshly prepared as they were ordered, and normally I'm willing to wait longet if my food is being freshly made, I would have had no complaints if my cheese burger was as good as my fries. I don't know if I'd accidentally removed it from my burger when ordering, or if it had been forgotten but there was no greens in my burger no pickled no lettuce, all I got was a bun with some generic tomato ketchup, a hamburger patty and a slice of cheese. After having my expectations lifted by some good fries my first bite of burger was disappointment. As I finished my burger I couldn't but compare it to McDonald's offering, and couldn't help but conclude that Burger Base's was more expensive and not as good. In general all of Burger Base's offerings are more expensive than the McDonald's equivalent.

Going to the toilet was a shock, compared to the well appointed dining area, the toilets were poor. The restaurant can't stop its customers being foul when using the facilities, but however aggrieved they maybe with it, it is their responsibility to clean up after them. I had to back out rather gingerly after washing my hands, wondering if my hands would be dirtier for using their basin.

There is a reason why this place was so quiet on a Saturday afternoon. I can imagine using this restaurant again, but probably not...

‘Burger place come comedy club’ Been here a few times a bit touch and miss, first time great, 2nd time burger was over cooked and chewy, decided to try again third time this time with a large order, after waiting 25mins.. very disappointed! Chips were stale, so crisp they could be snapped, burger chewy and over cooked again. This time I thought I would point it out to the manager, unfortunately due to the long wait lunch time was over so went the next day, only to be told I should have brought it back the same day, fair enough I said however you know I’m a regular (which he agreed) explained about the long wait, and lunch hour had come to an end hence the reason I’ve come back a day later. I said I wanted a refund, he declined and said he was happy to give me one burger ‘free of charge’ 😂 I said I wanted the whole refund as the burger and chips were NOT edible and had to be thrown, his answer to that was still only one burger which he would give free! I said it wasn’t free as I had spent money, I finally insisted on him replacing the order minus the drinks and wraps, as they were ok. He then preceded to take a calculator out 🤦🏽‍♀️ did his sums and said that wouldn’t be possible, what a joke! I said to him he either replaces all the burgers and fries or I would take this further, so in the end he replaced two burgers and followed by telling me he cooked them himself! Very big of him!! Such a shame as great concept offering halal alternatives to Big Macs etc, nice laid out restaurant, staff could do with more training and replacement of the so called ‘owner’ who doesn’t quite get what customer...

Lovely looking place but food is very average and the prices are very high considering it’s a “halal” version of McDonald’s in my opinion but triple the price. Ordered the flame beef and chicken and some chicken wings and tenders and totalled to over £35! The beef burger tasted fine I liked the yellow cheese sauce inside it and the chicken had nice grilled smell which was nice. Their wings was very oily and didn’t like the taste it was very basic. Their service was also very slow and took over 20mins for our food to come. The lady calling the orders was very rude when I was asking for my drinks which was included in the meal yet she had such a bad attitude, when I asked for tissue she again gave it to me with attitude hesitantly which is not what customers need.
