The staff were very nice and handled a bolshy customer in front of me as best as they could and well.
The time is 0810 ISH 21st of December in Euston Station the atmosphere is horrible because Euston is a dull depressing station, devoid of anything nice to look at, so it is nice to get a smile from the two visible staff who are not paid enough to put up with the extra pressures and hassle of working in a major station.
The bloke in front was quibbling about the meal deal, which the price and what it consists of is nothing to do with the staff.
He wants to swap out the coffee which he watched her make... To a hash brown. He gave lots of attitude/intimidation and even had the nerve to look at me to either back him up or intimidate me into not taking the staff side.
The staff gave him what he wanted which in this case is the best and only thing they can do. Having worked in a station shop, it is shocking how much time people have to shout and be nasty to shop staff while dashing for a train.
The food... Well it was cooked and hot enough, but it is Burger King so I got less than I paid for, for a mediocre thin sausage in a burger bun and a Coke for £5. This is in no way a poke at the staff, the company for that price could easily chuck an egg on the sausage.
This concludes my review of Burger King Euston Station, if you read all of it then I presume you are stuck at the awful Euston Station too. You have my sympathy.
To the staff, MUCH APPRECIATED I understand completely how horrible the travelling public can be as they vent their inability to plan their travel time, and how entitled they get... Expecting you to be their verbal punching bag as they tell you to hurry up and throw cash at you or slam their card on the tap-n-pay almost breaking it and row about things out of your control.
Merry Christmas everyone! I'm on my train and it left as I wrote this...
Read moreOrdered a XL double whopper meal with fries. Hands down the WORST burger I have ever had in my whole life. I took one bite and it was so dry. Took another and couldn’t actually chew cos it was so dry. It was like eating t crackers without water. I had a drink with it, it didn’t help. The chips were also abysmal. Dry. Cold. It was no more than 3 minutes between me purchasing the meal and sitting on the train and starting eating it and none of it was hot. Tepid at best. I get that train station food is not always the best, it’s busy, small shop space to work in etc. but this was honestly so bad I feel the need to write feedback. Inedible couldn’t finish it. I asked for mayo and BBQ sauce and was told these were 50p each despite that I have pause £12.68 (which is extortionate but I don’t mind paying cos BK burgers are normally really juicy and decent). Not wanting to pay more and wanting to get on my train I asked for loads of ketchup. The lady gave me six packets. Six. Not even that could save this abomination of a whopper. I love BK in transit normally. A life long mantra of mine: “When you’re travelling and you’re not sure what food to get, BK double whopper is always a great shout.” Looks like I am gonna have to change my whole outlook on life following this absolute abomination. I couldn’t even rank this as poor to grotty on the scale of grotty to potentially ok. Just a heinous crime to the...
Read moreI can see on my wallet that I've been charged twice for my meal last night. The first payment must have gone through when I was told it didn't. The published phone number for this branch doesn't work! I was passing through Euston so can't return. Please can the branch provide their phone number here or check the number? Thanks.
3 Feb - Being an irregular traveller to London, today was the first opportunity I had to go back to this Burger King since they charged me twice for one meal last month (and my attempts to phone them subsequently failed (which they acknowledged at this visit is due to an IT error on their system which sounds like they've reported to IT a number of times)). The matter was unresolved despite proof of two charges being made via showing receipt and credit card transactions, and the colleague there then making a call to the general manager who refused me my money back (which they've taken in error (or worse) from me), suggesting I return the following day to see the general manager. This is not possible for me and it was unclear what the point of this was beyond inconveniencing me further. I was then told to take it up with Select Service Partner UK Ltd which I shall do. I would urge caution dealing with this business. Really disappointing experience under the Burger King brand and not what I would...
