I actually like Leon. I think the avo-halo breakfast bun is usually delicious and the coffee is pretty good. But the team here seem slower than other branches. There are often long queues, and the kitchens don't get the food out quickly enough. Not sure what is going on because the team inside London Bridge station are way more snappy. Poor staff morale maybe?
Update down to one star. It's almost unbelievable how poorly managed and supported staff are in this branch. It always seems to take slower than necessary. Today I ordered an avo-hallo as always. Got ticket number 22. Usually with a single avo-hallo staff hand it to you, but today I got a ticket. Waited about 10 minutes. Staff called "number 29 - avo-hallo" - my order had been skipped. When I got it it was cold. Why was it cold? Because it had been sitting waiting to go since before I ordered. Doing tickets in sequential order as food is available is a fairly simple logistic task, as is serving people quickly when the food is ready to go. Also, the avocado was brown. I am guessing this is the most poorly managed Leon in the...
Read moreI always go to this place when I travel. Today I had two kids with me. I went and bought my food, and kids wanted to wonder around in the station. Then they came back with Burger king meals. Wasnât ideal but thought its not too busy and I spent over 20 pounds on my Leon food so told the kids to eat quickly and off we go.. Then there comes this lady with glasses, probably the manager or equivalent. She spotted the Burger King meals and flew like a hawk on us â This is Leon, u r not allowed ⊠â I apologised and explained that I just finished my meal.. She said fine, left, then came back saying â What did u order from us? â I explained again that I already finished mine and weâll be leaving soon. When the kids finished their meal, I told them to collect their rubbish ( was going to take the rubbish with me so she doesnât moan ) There she comes again, saying â Burger King bins are downstairs â⊠I had enough at that point and explained again that I am trying to leave, with two kids, bags and rubbish and told her to stop hassling me and just give me 5 mins to leave ! WHAT A...
Read moreThe worst of all Leon branches in London! The service is shockingly slow. And I believe that it has nothing to do with being a busy transport hub, as the responses to other complaints about slow service state. The whole operation is terribly mismanaged.
We used to go there very frequently in the mornings since the Euston branch opened. Each staff member does one particular job for which they stand around idle 50% of the time ,waiting for their moment to do what their specific task is; no multitasking. It is as funny, as it is frustrating, that 4 people 'work' behind the counter and only one takes order, while 20 people wait in the queue and the other three members of staff do nothing. And the pace with which the staff works in the kitchen (it's all there too see) is also not inspiring.
After an appalling experience yesterday morning, We have called it a day. Me and my colleagues will not be coming back. Not because of a single bad day (or two) in the kitchen, but because of a continuous display of poor management and...
