I asked for a coffee. I was handed a cup of coffee and left to go to work. One employee ran after me, when I hald already crossed the street, telling me that I had the wrong cup. I went back to the shop. Another employee told me, very rudely: "next time wait for your coffee".
I was going to work and I do not have time to waste because they give customers the wrong cup of coffee. I am not working as a barman for them and I am not supposed to know which cup is whose, all the more so since all the cups are equal. They should have apologised for giving me the wrong cup and for wasting my time, instead they blamed for taking the coffee they had handed me. They could have also just remade the coffee they had given me to give it to right client (which costs 1 pound), it would have saved their face at least. They must definitely learn how to do their jobs.
Overall, very rude and greedy staff. The choice of food (which I did not taste) looked good, but I will definitely not to back because I do not have time to waste with bad and...
Read moreWe visited London for a few days from Canada and decided to try this little cafe that we found online. We each had a full English breakfast, with eggs, sausage, back bacon (I think), lots of beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, and potatoes/hash browns for only £8.95 per person! Other restaurants we tried in the area and elsewhere in London charged more and delivered less. The food here was delicious, nutritious, and high quality. Also, the proprietors were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. We were able to get a seat right away and the food came quickly. There were lots of workers popping in quickly to pick up meals to go and the cafe seems to be popular with locals. We also had a tea (my wife) and an Americano (me) for only £1 each! She liked the tea, and I though the Americano was fabulous. My only regret is that we only went to Cafe Deco once! The breakfast baguettes and chicken sandwiches look great, but I never got to try them. I recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves...
Read moreWith the ever increasing numbers of cafes and coffee houses in the Kensington area, it’s wonderful to find one that stands out, head-and-shoulders above them all.
Based on Gloucester Road is the fantastic Cafe Deco, a no-frills cafe providing truly exceptional food at astonishingly low prices.
There’s nothing pretentious about Cafe Deco, indeed, apart from its amazing food, it’s simplicity is its attraction. The breakfast baguettes (my personal favorites), are incredible and without doubt, the best I’ve had in London! The stamp of Cafe Deco is the quality of its award winning ingredients at amazingly low prices. And coffee for just £1.00, where else can you get that??
Cafe Deco is a true find for quality home cooked food, but I’m not alone in coming to this conclusion as the queue that frequently stretches out of the door and to the pedestrian crossing testifies. For those of you who love delicious home cooked food, Cafe Deco needs to be on your list of...
