Seeing the chefs at work is great theatre, but when you see panic in their eyes alarm bells ring - and in this case it wasn't totally his fault, poor guy. There were so many plates on the pass that he had nowhere to put the one in his hand. They started off very polite and lovely, but the front of house were either so understaffed or so overwhelmed that they couldn't get the dishes out to customers in time. They never finished taking away our empty plates from the first course, so we were eating our mains with them crowding our table. Nobody asked us how our food was, so I was only able to tell them that my fondant potatoes were solid, dry, and tasting of chlorine when I was already finished. No replacement or alternative was offered, so I was hungry. We were wondering why my son wasn't eating his burger, but when we opened it up it was a burned mess, not even a whole burger (picture attached). And when we finally were able to get someone's attention for the bill we waited so long to make the payment one of our party had to leave, and we eventually had to get up and find someone to pay. The food itself was ok, my family said "nice" with those kind of downturned mouth corners and pouty bottom lip that mean "take it or leave it". I think I was particularly unlucky, my french onion soup was basically lightly caramelised onions in cornflour thickener. The Halibut was well cooked, but a fairly bland dish with a sauce that I couldn't identify the flavour of without looking twice at the menu.

Overall Coco Momo seems to be another one of these places that are all investor money with the AI semblance of what is "supposed" to be in a restaurant, but no real love in the recipes or organising the staff into a...

I will start with the positive experiences, then expose what they strongly should improve in my opinion. So, the decoration, restaurant presentation, staff kindness couldn’t be better.

My first impression is that this spot could have all to be a fair competitor of The Ivy Brassiere for example - which has no much similar options in Kensington area. The price of Coco Momo and The Ivy is quite similar…

I had a Buckwheat Pancake and Eggs Benedict. The Pancakes were simply marvellous, seriously. Bu unfortunately I couldn’t say the same for the Eggs - Low average including the presentation however, I should say the ingredients and quality of all was great.

The coffees - Mocha and a Cappuccino - were also okay. On the average, not had special presentation, not properly hot as expected and the mocha had a different standard of the one I had right a day ago - which was in fact beyond of my expectations - but unfortunately they didn’t followed the standards.

So, another very important thing to be stated - the playlist was so bad - love songs and not continuously playing - worse impossible, sorry. Please consider a kind of Jazz for a spot of that level… that’s the expectation conveyed by the whole architecture of the place.

I would initially consider to give 3 starts, but due the the season (end of the year) and sensitive moment in terms of shortages in UK, they really deserve 4 starts - and they also have total potential to be a five starts spot without questioning. I’m sure they will get improved and I’ll definitely...

The website says “For tables of 9 and fewer choose from our December daily menu… or alternatively dine from our 2/3 course festive menu…simply make a booking… no preorders required, choose what you’d like to eat on the day”. So we were a table of 9 we arrived to our booking and were told we could not have the festive menu as it needs to be preordered. The website clearly states we do not have to and also gave us no option to. Because of this our 2 veggie friends did not have a meal due to lack of veggie options, they had to watch us eat as it was a Sunday and obviously everywhere else was fully booked. They then went home immediately after as they were hungry. This ruined our yearly meet up to which some of us travelled over an hour for. Extremely disappointing especially when we showed the manager his website and he still told us we had to preorder. To top it off id rate the turkey dinner 4/10, very unimpressed. I don’t normally leave reviews as i understand from previous experience what it can be like to work in this sector but this could not go unnoticed. Either update the website or deliver the service that...

A mixed experience, started off well friendly staff, the loose teas and coffee both very nice, tall stack pancakes yummy with very nice cream. However the full English breakfast was a massive let down. The bacon was barely cooked no colour on it tasted rubbery like it was steam cooked in an oven I couldn't even eat it and just left it as it was that bad and Im a bacon lover. Butter was rock solid like it came out of freezer unusable. Was still rock hard even after we finished our meal. The sausage did taste ok but absolutely no colour it could have been cooked a lot more. It was cooked same as the bacon not Grilled or fried. The eggs were very so so and beans had some funky flavour and not in the good way. Everything seems rushed out of the kitchen barely cooked to a minimum or re-heated in large batch cooking not made to order. Don’t come here if you want proper English breakfast. Edit. Visited about year later for lunch had a burger was very nice, maybe new chef

Absolutely loved Coco Momo, after eating there one time as a couple. Even when nearly full, it is quiet. You can have a conversation with your partner, or in a small group, at a normal conversational volume, no shouting or straining to hear. Service was fantastic, attentive & generous. We had a wobbly table & began to try and remedy it ourselves. Our server noticed & right away came over to do it better. As celiacs, we were assured of safety. We were offered additional condiments without asking. All friendly & swift. Lighting is gentle & warm, the kind that makes you look better! Great place for a date night. Food & Drink . . . we had non-alcoholic spirits, starters, mains & sticky toffee pudding dessert. Flavours were fantastic. Portions - especially on the mains - very generous & satiating. Sticky toffee pudding came with an incredible quantity of sauce, not so Insta-friendly but more importantly, delicious & gluten free!
