Iāve been to much better Indian restaurant. Without asking they put Poppadoms on the table (us thinking they was complimentary) then when it came to the bill they charged us twice.
I work in hospitality and can confidently say Iāve never had to ask to take service charge off. However, everything felt very rushed we didnāt get to finish the food in our mouths and they were taking plates. It was very unorganised, they had clearly forgotten they had bookings. However, one of the men were standing by the front door and were convincing us to come in. Whilst eating starters one of the waiters kept bothering us saying āwe are going to have to move your table to the window as we have 3 bookingsā, ācan I take your chairā, āis it okay if you hurry upā. We had 4 different waiters asking us if they could take the sauces (mid meal).
I was very confused and felt abit uncomfortable as the waiters were interacting with every other table and not ours. They were constantly hovering by the table. We never got asked how the meal was, if we needed anything or if we needed drinks.
I was also confused with the starters as we ordered 3 different starters but when it was served they separated all the starters on 2 plates. But there were starters I wanted and ordered and my friends ordered for herself. However, when see everyone elseās starters they came out on all different plates.
All the food tasted the same and smothered in coriander and tomato. I had ordered a jalfrazi and it was very bland with no spice, and my friend got a korma that was bright yellow smothered in coriander, garlic, was dry and unflavoured.
Lastly we were sitting chatting (weād just finished the food, just before the plates were taken whilst we were eating). I had seen the waiter sign his hand for the bill (which we never asked for). I did say to him āI was going to order a drink but you can forget it nowā and he was trying to persuade me into getting the drink. I then asked for service charge to be taken off then I just got pure attitude.
I will not be coming back and I would...

I donāt usually leave negative reviews, but my experience at Little India was genuinely disheartening. From the moment we arrived, the staff were noticeably impolite and dismissive, which immediately set a sour tone for the evening. Hospitality is fundamental to any dining experience, and sadly, it was completely absent here.
We were even judged for our choice of dish, with a remark that āyour food will not be enough for two people.ā Frankly, that was rude and unnecessary.
As for the food itself, it fell far short of expectations. The flavors were bland, the presentation lacked care, and the dishes didnāt reflect the richness or authenticity of Indian cuisine. It all felt rushed and uninspired, which only added to our disappointment.
Dining out should be a pleasant and welcoming experienceāthis was neither. I sincerely hope the management takes this feedback to heart and works on improving both the service and the food. Unfortunately, I wonāt be returning.
I believe the team at Little India, including both the staff and the chef, could benefit from further training in hospitality and culinary standards. A welcoming attitude and well-prepared food are essential to a positive dining experience, and unfortunately, both were lacking...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am posting my review just now, but this review is actually from the dates of 17th and 19th mai. My husband and i we had the luck to enter at the Little India cusine without reservation. We was at the door seeing the menu when we were welcomed to come inside. I personally didn't know so much about indian food (Will probably be helpful to have a menu with pictures :)) , but we got very good help. The food was amazing. So good that i knew i wanted to comeback before we return to Norway. And we did on the 19th mai. This day was my birthday and i couldn't ask for better food for this day. We had a great time again. The food was delicious,. And we ate everything. I enjoy the good food and when i do i l eat everything . This is a place you have to visit if you want to eat good indian food . It is not a big place but perfect to intimate dinners. All is very clean, the people that work there are very friendly. We was the last clients on the 19th mai, and we thank them a lot for the food, and we told them we will comeback on our next trip , since we visit London once in a year. We got two Indian glasses as a souvenier to remenber them. And we will! Not only for the gift but for the beautiful time we spend there and the...
