Cafe Pronto — Restaurant in London

I went to this coffee shop to pick up a couple of coffees and sandwiches for breakfast with view to support independent coffee shops. I got a baguette which was out of date for one day and I believe it is my right to return it as I did not want to pay for a product that is clearly out of date - though I agree it may be ok to it, but didn’t want to risk it anyway. When I went back to return it the employee tried to “sell it” to me saying “it should be alright” as it was refrigerated. And I agree though I just didn’t want to pay for something that was out of date so I asked to take something else instead. Noted there were no other sandwiches that I could eat, I asked to take something else instead like a pastry, he replied to me that it can only be a roll of the same price (note this was the most expensive sandwich already). I just found this policy and attitude so wrong for so many reasons in terms of customer experience and I thought I would mention it to avoid this happening again in the future if possible. I ended up asking for a refund (for which I did not receive any receipt or anything) and hope this will actually go through at least. Decided to grab a quick coffee outside of Farringdon station and stumbled upon this place. My intention was to walk to Leather Lane area but found this spot, which was a bonus as I’ve not been here in a long time. I decided on a large Americano with oat milk: £3.05 all-in. My experience with those staff was excellent and my beverage was served to me promptly. My coffee was hot and to my liking. Horrible customer service ordered a flat white whilst it was really quiet at around 11:30 today and the lid was not on properly spilt all over my coat and shoes and burnt my hands really badly- went back and got no apology I heard the girl at the counter say to her colleague to just put it in a new cup my drink was cold in minutes and it was not really even a flat white at that point. I paid nearly £4 for this!!! I usually choose this spot over other nearby chains because they usually have a good flat white although pricey DEFINITELY WILL NOT...
