4,3 in stars (as a breakfast place) Food/drink Nice filtered coffee, with great taste Greek yogurt with fruits was a sizeable portion with apples and apricots + granola (which was a bit sweet and not as nutty as I prefer) Then I had Turkish eggs - this was really awesome, spicy sausage with poached egg, some sort of yogurt underneath with amazing flatbread - this was the highlight, especially if you like it spicy and something other than the plain vanilla egg Benedict for breakfast. Price a bit on the high side paying 16 Ā£ for the Turkish eggs, even if I must say the portions were sizeable (and I eat a lot). Service The girl at the counter seemed a bit stressed when I order, order than that it wasn’t much service other than serving my food in this case. Atmosphere Nice easy going semi hipster environment, liked it!

I’ve always walked past this cafe when I was working in my old work place - never thought to pop in. Just assumed it was another ā€œtrendy cafeā€. Moved to a new work place (but still in the area) and today finally tried their food along with my friend this morning for a good hearty breakfast! My bacon and egg sandwich was super yummy! Great cuts of bacon (still with a bit of fat in it!). Egg could be a little bit more runny. Great toasty bread, and the tartar sauce added a nice kick! My matcha latte was nice too, not too bitter. The decor of the cafe is super chic. Really bright, earthy feel to it! Not your average ā€œtrendy cafeā€. The staff were very friendly and super nice! If you work in the area, make sure you visit Cataylst Cafe! I’ll be back! - do you do a loyalty scheme card? šŸ˜‰šŸ˜¬

Found this place by recommendation from a TV programme and I was impressed! It’s a really nice cafe! Cosy vibes, trendy and felt really comfortable when I was there. I heard that they serve a good lunch menu though the purpose of my visit was to try out the bacon sandwich on their breakfast menu! They did not disappoint. Really great sandwich, delicious and nicely put together. Thickness of the bread and good amount of bacon and egg was nicely done. Loved how they also presented their tea, really nice and funky. Staff are professional and friendly. If I have time off during the week I will visit again as it only opens on week days.

Food is nice but staffs need to be more polite

Not recommended for working space

I went to the cafe as for planning to find the nice place with a nice food to work

I ordered a single strawberry smoothie and a single blueberry smoothie for my friend and we both getting the same green smoothies

so i have to ask him ( twice ) since we’re order different drink and he’s saying yes without even declared or patience enough to listen to us ( as i know strawberry is red and blueberry is blue but we’re getting a green drink, may be I received the secret drink recipes? )

My sandwiches is the chicken thingy but it’s taste nicely

And for my friends she order pancake and the banana came with a plastic stickers

For the staff manner, i asked for the wifi he quote ā€œ we’re not giving the wifi password during the lunch time, it’s will free after 2 pm because some people just walk in ordered only a cup of coffees and stay for the rest of the day ā€œ

And yes he said while my lab top was place on the table and haven’t finished half of my meal yet, at this point i felt pretty EMBARRASSING!!! the fact that i have order just not only drinks but a lunch and even plan to have a dinner there !!!!

even he mentions to give me the wifi 5 mins for if it’s an emergency, i would feel better if he said the wifi is only for staffs

I believed there are many ways to treat the consumer instead of scaring them away with the attitude, there should be an upgrade for the service mind...

THE CATALYST CAFE

For 9 months, my friends urged me to visit it-finally I did it a Friday evening. What a surprise! This is the new hot spot in Central London: I was amazed by the wonderful ( and sophisticated as well) Scandi-style decor, the incredibly friendly atmosphere, the discreetly helpful and polite general staff and first and foremost by the delicious food, the divine cocktails and the excellent, tasteful coffees. It might be a shame to call it a cafe, or a wine & cocktail bar, or a bistro; it's all of them together and much more than that! Full of local barristers during the day - and not only - it has a lovely, fan-style clientele. Congrats to Alexandros (the creative Greek genius and from the owners). The CATALYST is bloody amazing and definitely a smash hit! Never miss the "Spanakopita" (OMG, a Greek delicacy pastry with feta cheese and spinach, freshly hand-made in a daily basis and so light), the "don't judge me by my color" smoothie (with strawberry, kiwi and healthy spiroulina - what an incredible taste) and from the cocktails the " lemon-pie martini" and the "white chocolate martini"! STARBUCKS, CAFE NERO, COSTA, it's time to eat humble pie, I think - let alone the unbelievable low prices for such a quality. The "cordato" coffee - the new trend- what a flavor and what a wide range of high quality milks! If you will ever visit it you will be definitely a loyal fan of the CATALYST. See...

Weird staff member which ruined my coffee experience. I popped in on the way to the train station to purchase a cappuccino and use the toilet. Ordered and went downstairs to use the toilet. In the toilet for a short while (for a pee), came out and a staff member sitting at a table asked me ā€œare you okay broā€ which I answered ā€œyes, are you?ā€ He goes on to say ā€œthe toilet is for customers onlyā€ and I said ā€œI purchased a coffeeā€, he replied ā€œI saw you upstairsā€ so I now said ā€œdid you want to come up and checkā€. He said again ā€œI saw youā€ so I said ā€œcome up with me and checkā€. And he said ā€œit’s fine, it’s fineā€ I didn’t appreciate this at all and found it all to be weird and rude like I had to show him proof of purchase or something. Will go to another nearby coffee shop next time. I’ve been having meetings all morning and extremely happy I didn’t bring a client there. A shame because the lady who served me was really nice and it was a good coffee. Avoid unless you’re open to...
