Hello, it was the 24th, if we need to buy the last 🎁 gifts for Christmas... but first a stop for a coffee, yes we have looked at different locations, there are many for a coffee in Angel station. But we decided to enter The Breakfast Club. It was very busy, we decided to wait. It was for a coffee and we looked at the menu and everything seemed very tempting, we really like avocado and we ordered everything with avocado and pancakes. The coffees were incredible, we even asked where the delicious coffee came from and it wasn't that the friendly and kind Mateo who served us commented that it came from my country Brazil 🇧🇷, how nice... We recommend 💯 x 💯 this place, if you fancy fresh, good, fast and with kind attention. Thank you Mateo, for your wonderful work👏👏, and thanks to the entire team for a job well done🙏👍. We recommend and we return yessss. Happy Christmas and beautiful 2025 to all 💖🙏

This Breakfast Club is a must go too! I went there today on a lovely bright Sunday late brunch/breakfast. It’s a famous American menu cafe! A lovely place for couples, small group of friends or family to have a lovely fresh breakfast. Family friendly atmosphere!lastly, as it was a busy afternoon the service is still good with attentive service! Side road parking is free after 13:30 and free all day Sunday. Packington street is the closest road ! Like wise lots of buses around to get to the cafe!

Ordered the blueberry pancakes with bacon and the portion size was super filling! The pancakes were supper fluffy and I paired the meal with a lavender lemonade which was delicious 😋 definitely recommend for a nice brunch/breakfast spot. We came in via walk-in and luckily got a spot straight away on a Sunday but would definitely recommend booking if you can. It is a very noisy restaurant though you can still talk, so if you're noise sensitive I would be more cautious.

I've known about this chain for a while but was my first time going. After seeing tourists flock to it from different locations I thought it would be nice to have some brunch with a friend and see what it was like. The welcome was nice, staff polite and the venue itself was good. But the food was questionable which made me wonder why the hype? I assumed that the BC had these lines because the food was good but after my meal, trying drinks and even trying some of my friend's food I was genuinely confused. Do people literally go here because it's an 80s themed restaurant? Surely not. I had the club sandwich, it wasn't a typical club sandwich as in where you have an additional layer of bread but that wasn't really my issue. The way it was made was just bad. Huge chunks of chicken stuck between bread cut in to tiny triangles which made it hard to handle and it fell apart. The chicken was bland and a little under cooked, not raw but pinker than I would like, I'm not eating steak after all. Only just now realising what the fried green tomatoes were even in there, I thought it was some kind of potato cake but admittedly I'd never had fried green tomatoes so who am i to judge. My friend ordered scrambled eggs with vegan chorizo with a smoothie. She mentioned she thought the smoothie was a prepackaged bottle like innocent and now I see the menu, that yes that's exactly what she ordered so that's fair enough. But £6 for a £4 bottle of a pressed smoothie? Why the markup? For the labour of pouring smoothie from a bottle to glass?...I tried some of the chorizo and it was honestly no where close to what chorizo tastes like (not all vegan food can match exactly what the meat versions taste like but...) it just tasted like it had overdosed on cumin. The bread was one of the few things from the meal that I actually enjoyed. but let that sink in, one of the few things I enjoyed from my entire meal was the bread (repeated for effect). I know it sounds like a lot of complaining and it is, but I paid over £50 for 2 scraggly, untasty brunch meals, 2 mimosas and a smoothie and my opinion is that it completely wasn't worth it. An OK venue, good staff and sub par food does not make a good dining experience for me at that price. If you want to go somewhere that looks OK (literally nothing special), plays 80s music and eat overpriced and not particularly tasty food, then you'll LOVE it. Otherwise don't buy the hype. My regret mainly comes from the cost and the feeling that the food/ experience just wasn't worth it. I could have bought 1-2 weeks worth of food for that and cooked proper meals with more taste myself. But that's my big issue, if I'm going somewhere I don't want to buy prepackaged smoothies and pay a ridiculous price for it, I don't want to order food and for it to fall apart, and I want my food to taste good. That's pretty standard I think for a successful meal at a good restaurant. I might as well of gone to Nando's, dare I say it...or even Macdonalds. Sadly this was just a a huge no for me, I mean the lines i'd seen in the past gave me a completely different impression and I now realise it's just a tourist trap, or for "cool" kids who have no actual taste. I just felt like I needed to say something because it has this hype around it and I just don't understand why. Please can someone explain? I don't think I'll be coming back but thanks...

This was my first visit to The Breakfast Club and I won't be going again - didn't even get to eat.

Initially service was good and friendly. When we sat down the waiter asked us if we wanted any drinks or a couple of minutes to decide. We asked for a few mins to decide and then were waiting for at least 10 minutes before we could give our order.

45 minutes later after zero communication about where our order was, I asked what was happening as we needed to be somewhere. We were told it would be another five minutes and we could cancel the order if we wanted. Then the other waitress came and said it was actually ready, it was too late for us to sit down and eat so we decided to leave.

On my way out, I overheard another waiter explaining that the kitchen hadn't been receiving orders and they had only just discovered the problem. I asked if in that case, couldn't they just give us our order (as a gesture of goodwill as it was ready anyway). He told me that the kitchen would just keep the order for other customers in case they order the same thing.

In fairness we got our coffees on the house but I find it very bad practice that the restaurant just kept the order for other customers (instead of making things fresh) and showed very little remorse or empathy about the inconvenience caused and time wasted. On top of that they were not very attentive and not good at communicating what had happened.

Won't be visiting again.

Given 2 stars for the nice coffee and giving them on the house but overall was not impressed by the...

The breakfast club review

Entrance - Definitely a hidden gem, from the outside it does not look like it would have that much space on the inside which was a lovely surprise. Bright and yellow!

Food - For the price that you pay, the food is mediocre. Defo an extortion. You could get more value at a local cafe.

I ordered the small fry breakfast and the bacon was stale, beans were cold and egg was undercooked - for 9 pounds sterling lol

Drinks - I ordered a lemonade a homemade lemonade and a juice shot - £3 for a tiny shot of juice and I can’t remember how much the lemonade was but I could not finish it.

Decor - It was giving retro diner in the 70s… without sounding mad if I was a black person in the 70s n saw a restaurant that was decorated like that - I’m doing the biggest U Turn - on one hand I thought my gosh this decor is giving ‘Whites Only’ vibes and on the other hand I thought maybe that’s their target audience- who knows. It was nice, just creeped me out a bit.

Cleanliness - Very clean and tidy, could not fault it.

Cost - £19 in total for a small fry up, a drink and a juice shot - again - if you want proper food go to your local cafe you’ll get it for half the price

Customer service - Luca was extremely attentive and made the experience lovely! Anything I needed he was always there - thank you Luca you’re a credit to the restaurant.

Overall - 5/10 - probably wouldn’t return based on my comments above but it could’ve been worse and I’m fairly picky! Lol Thank you The...
