City Masala — Restaurant in London

This spot is a real find! Unassuming, and sort of tucked away, but it’s amazing. I went with a group and we were blown away, very impressed.

The food was delectable - spices perfectly balanced, full of flavour and clearly made with care. We had a chicken tikka, jalfrezi and lamb bhuna. Tried the naga chicken too (has a kick!). The biriyani was recommended, and it’s probably one of the best I’ve had.

The staff were really attentive (without being overbearing), which made the experience even better. They were friendly but very professional, and provided the best service during our group lunch. We loved all their recommendations, very knowledgeable.

The setting is great – stylish, modern but relaxed, and really convenient if you’re in or around Holborn. There aren’t many quality Indian restaurants in the City, I’ve had some of the best so I know what City Masala is up against, but this is up there. Definitely a welcome addition. This is our second time ordering from City Masala for an event at our offices, and once again, the food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The food was accurately labeled, which was a great help for our staff members with allergies. Delivery was earlier than expected and went smoothly.

The pricing is very fair, and it was clear from the enthusiasm of our team that many were going back for third and fourth servings! Monsur was easy to reach and a trustworthy manager throughout the process.
