My partner and I went to buy a milkshake from Crepeaffair, Angel.
We entered the store and we were met by the female assistant who greeted us and asked us if we wanted eat in or take away.
We said we would eat in however we would sit outside. She told us that we could use the QR code, situated on the table outside, to order and pay.
I spoke to her male colleague who told us that the NHS QR code was inside but as we were outside we did not need to scan it. I went to the toilet.
Moments later the manager came over and told my partner that we must scan the QR code as we were inside the venue. The manner in which Stefan introduced himself was completely confrontational, aggressive and rude. At this point, my partner said she would change the order from eat in (seated outside) to take away. I returned from the toilet and my partner told me what had happened.
Stefan was gossiping with a man who later confirmed he was also an employee. This made us feel very uncomfortable so I went to speak to the manager and explained that his subordinate, the male assistant told us that we did not need to scan the NHS QR code as we were seated outside. It was clear that what ever the procedure was at Crepeaffair, Angel was not clear to the staff as the female assistant came to take our order after she had told us to us the QR code to order and pay. She also told us to scan the QR code again and then apologised realising her mistake. It looks pretty clear she was flustered by the disorganisation concocted by Stefan, the manager.
Stefan proceed to address us as 'man' rather than formally address us as customers. Stefan then went on to point his his fingers at us as we he was speaking, the patrons who provide custom. Stefan said it was the law to scan the NHS QR code. We are fully aware of this. The problem was the way the manage handle the situation.
Stefan would not let us explain what had happened as he kept interrupting us. Stefan made dismissive facial expressions and his body language was very aggressive and patronising. Stefan rudely invited us to any other venue by saying "Go somewhere else, be my guest!".
We were further surprised at his command of English as he said told us "I finished my shift an hour ago so I can say whatever I want", "I don't know what happened!". Instead of finding out what had transpired, Stefan was hostile, combative and defiant. Moreover, he was distancing himself, being obtuse and wilfully ignorant instead of taking ownership, leadership and being professional.
As we are a young couple, we surely perceived that he was talking to us as if we were his associates.
Stefan said he was told by a female assistant. He laughed at what we said and told me that what happened was not true. Stefan insinuated that we were lying. Stefan was insolent, sassy and cheeky in his approach, demeanour and conduct.
He was totally unprofessional and not fit to be in his role as a manager. Stefan's colleague who he had been gossiping with prior my interaction wanted to apologise for the miscommunication that occurred on the behalf of male assistant, which was humble of him in light of how the actual manager, Stefan behaved.
This was the worst experience ever, anywhere in London, taking into account we are well travelled and we are residents in the area, we are shocked at the crass level of decorum of this individual. We felt very offended and this was all over a milkshake! We will not be back at this branch and we will make sure all of our friends and acquaintances will not to bring their custom to Crepeaffair, Angel.
We lost our appetite and binned the milkshake.
We demand a unreserved apology from Stefan, who claims to be the manager.
We wish him personal and professional...

So I came (🤦♀️) from far for this... Also, the Liverpool Street one no more 😞 I'm just glad they still around and not closed down! So... In a nutshell...
👌 Eggs florentine was so good I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven. I just don't know how to explain... It was simple yet sexy, and quirky! 💜 Cosy seating and cute little place! 👌 Lovely temperature 🌡️ 💜 I ended up staying longer as it was just perfect 💜 I love how you could get a coffee and crossiant for £3.60 (only 40p extra) *as of Feb 2023. 💜 Last but certainly not least, the service was amazing, Ria, amazing lady who saw me sitting looking said hello, welcomed me, she could tell I looked well didn't know what to order too exciting! She told me order by app and promo code to get 10% off and I just ordered more 😏 💜 Ria was amazing she nicely checked on on customers as if we were CA family and left us to it, wonderful service just right 👍
Just delicious and what London is all about! As Arnold would say, I'll be back, (but bring friends and family) my movie...
Read moreI visited this place twice recently. The atmosphere is great as well as the decoration. Very cozy and warm inside. I used the barcode on the table to have 10% off the bill which is great. I happen to meet the same staff member both times, he was friendly and polite. Second time I saw only him on the shop floor running the place, serving people, making coffee and the food! He was doing literally everything by himself today. Well done for a great job. First time I had goat deluxe crepe which was great . Amazing combo of flavours. The caramelised onion, goat cheese and nuts is perfect. If they addd beetroot to the recipe it would be even better in my opinion maybe this is something to think about :-) Today I had eggs florentine crepe and milk chocolate crepe as I really wanted to try the sweet one. The breakfast egg crepe was just ok, the goat deluxe wins for sure. The sweet one was great, a lot of chocolate which I didn’t expect. Prices aren’t the lowest maybe it’s a little bit pricey, but it’s like everywhere else those days… In general great experience. I will be back to try...
