I went for the £14 unlimited French toast deal (every first Thursday of the month). As a French toast lover, I had to try it and here’s my honest review.
One thing to note upfront: there’s a hidden rule where you can’t place any new orders in the last 20 minutes of your one-hour slot. This wasn’t very clear from the start, and it makes a big difference if food comes out slowly.
Food: The French toast itself is amazing. Delicious, sweet, and satisfying. My boyfriend and I tried four flavours: Lotus, Dubai Pistachio, Berry, and Salted Caramel. The pistachio with kunafa was my favourite, Lotus was great too. Salted Caramel wasn’t really for us, and Berry was quite sour but actually a nice balance to all the sweetness.
System & Service: This is where it needs improvement. There weren’t enough staff to keep up, so orders took a long time. Our first plate came quite late, and although we finished it in under 5 minutes, it took a while for plates to be cleared and for us to place another order. The second plate took another 10–20 minutes to arrive. By the time we wanted a third round, we were told there were only 10 minutes left, so we couldn’t order anymore. In the end, most of our “unlimited” hour was spent waiting rather than eating.
Another thing I noticed was the last order timing. Before I queued, I asked a waiter and was told the last call for everyone was 8:30pm, no matter what time you were seated. But I also saw people being seated around 8:30pm, and I wasn’t sure if they were still allowed to order after. Just something for future customers to be aware of. It’s best to double-check with the staff on the day.
Also, while the deal is advertised as including a drink, none of the tables (including ours) received one. On top of that, the £14 doesn’t include service charge.
Other notes: I waited over 30 minutes for a table, which is expected since it’s only once a month and the café is small. But I also noticed quite a few arguments between staff and customers due to miscommunication while I was there, which shows the system still needs some fine-tuning.
Overall: The food is fantastic and the concept is fun, but the “unlimited” system and organisation definitely need adjusting. If the rules were clearer and service smoother, this could easily be a...
Read moreWe stopped for the unlimited French toast and the French toast was definitely worth it. It was fluffy, rich, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. The toppings were sweet and thoughtful, and the presentation was Instagram-worthy. The portion size was decent without being overwhelming, which I appreciated.
We decided to try the Lotus Biscoff, the Bueno chocolate, the Maple syrup, and the salted caramel. In my opinion the Bueno chocolate French toast, was the best one, the flavours were amazing, not too sweet or sickening just the right balance. The Lotus Biscoff French toast was also good, I don’t have anything negative to say about it.
The Maple syrup French toast was alright however they doused the French toast in the Maple syrup so much that the French toast was soggy. It tasted good but they could have gone easy on the Maple syrup. The salted caramel was horrible, it was extremely salty and burnt the back of your throat. I don’t recommend it.
The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was friendly. The restaurant was really aesthetically pleasing, I loved the details and colour scheme. Though it did take a little longer than expected for our food to come out. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the restaurant but at least I got photos of the French toast.
They start your 60 minutes from when they place your order on the system so you don’t really get the full 60 minutes because they take long to bring the food out and come to come back and take your next order. Overall, it’s an enjoyable brunch spot, if you’re a French toast lover, this place is worth a visit. Every months first Thursday they have bottomless French toast...

Friend ordered the cheese cheetos french toast.
We didn't wait in line, it was super small inside but we chose to sit outside. My friends chair missed out a blanket.
Service was fine, nothing to write home about. Though I feel it was only waiter taking everyones orders and checking on people, whereas the 3 other staff members were inside. The waiter seemed slightly stressed and there were a few people querying small things (e.g if they could have water/get the bill etc.) We went inside to try pay/order but was told to go back outside, we thought it may have been easier on the waiter to come to them...After about 5mins our orders were taken, a few mins later we received our food/drinks (the whole process not longer than 15mins.)
The Vanilla frappe had no coffee in it. Which is what you'd expect for a frap. The syrup used with it, unfortunately tasted really cheap. Like cheap ice cream syrup- so it wasnt good at all. The egg was a standard cadburys egg, so there was no real way to break it neatly. Particularly when you have sauce running down the sides of it- which, also contributed nothing more than aesthetics.
My friends cheeto toast she said was fine, but thought it would be more to it as opposed to hot cheetos covered in standard cheese. They expected like cheeto dust brioche toast, and even crushed cheetos in the cheese sauce to make it taste more like it. They rated it a 4/10. My other friend got her second choice, as her first choice was sold out (the avo one.)
Overall, wouldn't come back sadly. Its situated in a cute little area though just off...
