Crown & Castle — Restaurant in London

Nice enough looking pub with some good beers on tap. We stopped in for lunch and unfortunately were underwhelmed with the food. Had the vegan burger which came out as just 2 patties and 2 slices of vegan cheese on a dry bun, no sauce or pickles or anything else. We asked for the Mayo it was supposed to come with and they brought out a little tub. We also had some chicken wings which were stone cold, they were cooked through OK but not even warm. These were replaced with some hot ones when we questioned it and they gave us a couple of extras as well but they were only OK in my opinion. Also had some triple cooked chips which were OK but didn't come with the malt vinegar mayo as described, asked about the mayo and they brought some out but it had no vinegar taste. The 2 other burgers were closer to the mark but only average at best We have been travelling now for 4 weeks and this was easily the worst food...

Stopped in later on a Sunday for a pint and some snacks. Nice modern decor inside with a good collection of plants.

Good selection of beer to appease those looking for a craft beer and those just looking for an easy pint. Good selection of cocktails as well, done right with knowledgeable bartenders.

Didn't eat much but the chips were we did snack on were some of the best I've had around London.

Can't wait to go back on a busier night to round out my review.

Edit: went back but wasn't a busy night. Tried their food which was great. Picked the cauliflower appetizer and the vegetarian burger which were both great. Would definitely go back to try everything else on the menu.

They have a partnership with an unreliable pizza place that never delivered the pizza. We lost 30£. The pizza never arrived. The pizza place staff lied to us and promised it will arrive.

The pub Staff was very friendly and clearly doesn’t get to choose the food partner, they took ownership of the issue and tried to help and resolve the situation. However, at the end of the day, we watched the whole game without food… I love this pub, but a football game without food makes no sense. Get it together, choose a partner that cares about your customers and...
