Got a too good to go bag from here and was disappointed. I was expecting a variety of goods but only got one chicken patty (which the pastry was lacking flavour and quite thick, and the filling tasted of salt more than anything). Then these two dry bun/scone things. It was only £2.50 but still feel like my money was wasted. Did the too good too go back to give this place a try as it’s local to me, but was not impressed by the food

For myself & my family bests Fried fish. Curried goat rice and peas and all the other familiar foods of the Caribbean. Hardough bread rolls fresh & soft. And as for the cakes, Especially the coconut Rock cake is my dad favourite. Lovely staff bringing a piece of Saint Lucia into England .C'est bon!🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨

this is supposed to be a salt fish fritter! the sales assistant tried to insult me by telling me they were extra crispy. I left the shop immediately

We ordered a selection of patties for our Christmas Party this year and they went down a storm. We were really happy they were part of the buffet. Comments included that the patties were excellent and they wished there were more of them. Julius kept in touch through the delivery stages and made sure that everything went smoothly as possible. We would definitely recommend Rainbow's patties. They would provide a tasty and great lift to any event. We hope they may become a regular fixture. The pastry is quality and the fillings are generous. They were presented well and adequately heated. We were able to just lay them out on the table in their trays. We gave them five stars for atmosphere even though it was a delivery as the patties definitely contributed to the atmosphere...

We stumbled upon Rainbow Bakery on the way to Dalston market, and I couldn't have been more pleased to find it. The little bakery sells all the snacks that no self-respecting West Indian kitchen should be without - everything from patties to coconut drops. I tried the salt fish fritter, which was so greasy it soaked the paper bag in seconds. Wonderful. The seasoning was perfect but it could have done with a bit more salt fish. My sister's lamb patty was perfect, and a bargain at £1.35 (I've known bakeries to sell them around the £2.50 mark - madness!). It loses a star because the service was a little brisk. But I'm genuinely gutted that I don't live closer to Dalston - I already...

A work colleague made the mistake of introducing me to their patties, then we started to “order” them through her, until I found out it was around the corner from Dalston Junction station.

Although I tend to order the same things from them, there are so many things I haven’t gotten around to trying which I hadn’t come across before, so each time I’m there, I try to order something I haven’t tried.

Service can be a bit slower at busy times, but I’m never in a hurry; if I am, the wait is always worth it and the staff are pleasant. Also, their fare isn’t heavily “Jamaican”, as with many other Caribbean bakeries I’ve been to, which makes it a unique...
