Diamond Cafe & Grill — Restaurant in London

This was my local cafe for 5 years and even now we've moved, we still keep coming back here. Love the owners, love the staff. 😍 One time they gave us some free Turkish Baklava for desert. Wowser, it was nice.

We go there for a workers-cafe-style English Breakfast with builders tea, it's very tasty. My partner gets the veggie version and I get the meaty version. Not drenched in oil like some places, this place relies on actual delicious food.

They do lunch food as well but I've never tried it. My goal is always bacon and eggs 🥓🍳

🍅 They also do tinned tomatoes with the breakfast, and one day their supplier gave them a different type and they weren't as tangy and flavoursome. So the owners took this feedback from us and some other customers really well and stated they would not allow the different brand again, and since then the tomatoes have been consistently fantastic. I love it when businesses take feedback well and do something with it!

So... if you want an old school classic English breakfast rather than a gentrified one, then this place will...

Shocking how presumption the staff are who take the orders. I have not ordered from this cafe before but, I fancied a jacket potato for lunch and as I work nearby I called the number on the website to pre-order to reduce the waiting time for collection. I ordered a jacket potato with chicken and sweetcorn and was really taken aback when the person on the phone responded abruptly by saying ''someone recently ordered a jacket potato with chicken and sweetcorn and didn't collect it was that you?'' - This is an absolutely shocking way to speak to customers. The actions of previous customers should not be taken out on other customers. Unfortunately the review doesn't given an option to give less than one star but, they definitely deserve 0 stars as this is no level of customer service at all. They have now lost a new customer due this this appalling level of customer service as I did not feel comfortable to continue with my order and have now purchased my lunch elsewhere and I'll not be back to Diamond Cafe & Grill to receive such unnecessary...

When my family arrived in London we were too early to check into our airbnb. So we wandered into this place and immediately loved it. The service is so friendly and you can tell it's the kind of place where everyone in the neighbourhood feels welcome. The breakfast is great. The coffee is lovely. And that curry!! Wonderful. For the entire time we were in the neighbourhood, even on days we didn't stop in, the folks would wave at us and say hello from the counter. Wonderful people....
