DONT MISS THIS PLACE! First time i have been into Ema’s Cafe West Norwood and wow what a pleasant surprise! Not your average coffee n cake place for sure. Lovely …..varied and different options, food - good quality, and very very well presented! Bang for your buck -which is surprising these days how good value it was for the quality - very good value and tasty! Service ok, just more smiles please - you looked a bit sad when taking orders! Only 2 points of feedback is …….please have a menu on display outside so people can see what you offer before they come in - you may get more people in if you do this, it infuriates people when restaurants or cafes do not have a menus outside to see before you choose to come in. And the maple syrup was too thick. Maple syrup should be runny over your little fluffy pancakes, mine was far too thick- I had to spread it with a knife - needs to be runny. I was in the West Norwood area on a Sunday and came across EMA Café & Bistro, I decided to pop in and indulge in a Sunday afternoon hot chocolate whilst preparing the inevitable paperwork which comes with running a business.

The décor is calming and well illuminated with comfy seating and very pleasant staff. After seeing the various meals being served to the steady stream of customers. I decided to look at the menu realising that I had not eaten yet at 3pm. I ordered the Bacon & Mushroom omelette and was not disappointed with the presentation, quality and taste with a beautifully prepared salad.

Hatice & Ema were very friendly and made me feel very much at home, from the time I entered until I left 2 hours later, highly recommended, what are you waiting for get...

Came here with a friend, my 2 year old and my 5 month old. The staff were incredible with my toddler, parking her buggy for me and interacting with her. We ordered her a hot chocolate and they brought it in a special cup with straw rather than mug to avoid spillages and it had been cooled to the perfect temperature for her to drink - so kind and thoughtful. They also happily offered a side plate so that she could have some of my food. There is a children’s menu available too which seemed good value.

The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Really lovely...
