We turned up at this restaurant on a Saturday night in February 2025 and asked for a table for two. It turns out there was a live music performer about to start, so we asked for a table further away from this, so we could still hold a conversation. Our request was accommodated and we had dinner as usual despite the loud music in the background. Our surprise, however, came when asking for the bill. On top of our food spent they had a added £20 per person (£40 in total) as a fee for the live music. We were not informed at any point this would be the case, otherwise we would have had dinner somewhere else. We feel this should have been flagged very clearly before being served. We had been to this restaurant twice in the past and had had a nice experience, which made the whole situation even more disappointing for us. Never again. For the record, we doubt the live performer is amongst the Top-100...

We were visiting my husband’s BFF and she took us here for food and coffee. I got the Turkish Full English. Seriously the best breakfast! And it was vegetarian! It was so good that we went back the next day.
The coffee was so good and the family that runs the market are some of the nicest people. I joked with one of the owners over our eye glasses. It was such a warm-hearted exchange.
On the second day the owners had invited a drag performer and their friends to sit in and do an interview style video. I thought it was INCREDIBLE that they had them them doing their own thing, while we had a casual brunch. That LGBTQIA+ inclusivity skyrocketed Fieldseat into the top of my favorite restaurants in London.
Go visit, get some food, chat with the owners, buy some market goods. The place is a hidden gem and a gold standard for...

The #coffee is really good. The roast is smooth, the taste is silky, the after-taste isn't unpleasant. Really recommend it.
The soup...now, despite it being quite tasty and having a nice kick of spice and chilli, it was very oily; this seems to be common with most Turkish soups. The accompaniments were kisir quinoa (which was incredibly tasty), a tomato base green beans dish, which was equally tasty albeit a bit oily again. A broccoli was nicely decorated on the side.
Expecting the food to be great is impractical. The coffee had to be great.
The overall shop has good variety and minus the almost dead dried raw turmeric I saw in a box and some 'not very fresh veggies' I'd say it's a nice place to just have some afternoon tea or coffee.
