The Bluecoats Pub — Restaurant in London

Awful service! Rude staff that doesn’t know the meaning of hospitality and good service. The waitresses were busier eating potatoes behind the bar than actually working. I got given the wrong change twice (as the place wasn’t already enough pricy), the waitresses were running food without clue on where it was going, ending up always at the wrong table. Our food arrived wrong and without cutlery and when I told the manager, he took it away very rudely as if I was annoying him. He came back after a minute with a new plate but the meat was totally raw and I had to go to him again. This time he reacted even worse, telling me almost off and the plate he brought back, in the end, had a piece of over cooked meat, which wasn’t the previous one, and not even a new one, as something was already chewed. Therefore, I can just assume I got someone’s left over! We had already decided to avoid the place for the future when we went outside for a cigarette and a bouncer came along accusing us to smoke weed. He also checked my bag which I had no problem with, as my friend was smoking tabacco and no marijuana rolled in a long paper. Even he couldn’t find any drugs and we were smoking tabacco, he made us leaving from a back door to avoid other customers to see what they were doing. I think that it has been one of the worst experience I’ve never had in my entire life and, furthermore, considering the nice beer selection and the lovely place, such a bad management...

This place desperately wants you to find it cool. To the point where you have to wait quite long to get served and they’re generally quite rude to you when you eventually do. Really snobby place. Highest prices in the area. Food’s nice though. Never been anywhere where the aircon is turned up so high- bring a jumper!

Very loud music constantly - most places you sit there’s no way of having a conversation.

Lukewarm pints. I also obviously can’t confirm this but I must say I suspect they don’t clean the pipes all that regularly. All the beer tastes a little bit off. The kind of thing you might not notice if you’re a little younger, but for the more seasoned publicans you’ll spot it immediately.

Also I’ve never seen this any other pub but if you order a bar snack they add on a 12.5% service charge - to the entire thing. Not just to the snack, but even to the pint you’re having! It’s...

This is a local pub (for local people ;p) and as all local pubs should, the staff is the first and foremost joy of it. They're so nice and friendly they make you found of the place from the very beginning.

The building is quite quirky on the outside - seeming an old church, almost. Maybe it was... but it has this vibe of relaxed modern rebuild on the inside: comfy sofa are, comfy tables and sits and housing quite a lot of people in a collection of small and cozy areas. It also has an outside area with wooden tables and sits where smokers and outdoors lovers can enjoy their beers.

Very nice selection of beers at that, with many local breweries available. Along with burgers that have very funny names and quite original combinations of ingredients. Options for vegetarians as well.
