I usually like Franco Manco but this was the first time I visited the one in Holborn. First of all, there was no customers so the service should be beyond expectations, well it was not. Not even average. There was one waiter. He looked at me and it was as if no one came in when the sign clearly states ‘wait near the door till you get seated’. He was not friendly and no hospitality whatsoever. While waiting for my order, I saw this waiter while closing a box of Franco Manco, he SNEEZEDDDDDDD and the box was open. I saw his face go up and down and he hid it under the opening of the box. I mean the level of disgust I felt was horrible. I wanted to leave immediately. Anyway, he was sick, sneezing and snorting every few minutes. He was serving my plate and talked, while saliva flew out of his mouth and came on my pizza. I saw it. The pizza was not cut in slices I mean how would you expect someone to eat a pizza? The way he was serving me my plate shoving it in my face instead of putting it on the table because its HOT was unbelievable. Twice. And when someone asks a waiter for something like bruschetta with tomatoes, I don’t think a waiter should recommend ‘garlic bread’ because they’re nothing like bruschetta and they’re disgusting. Unfortunately, my experience and the treatment was the worst I have encountered. Before leaving, I saw the manager and another waiting greeting customers with a big smile and hospitality. Well I wish I came in 30 minutes later in that case, wouldn’t have had someone’s saliva in my food, and I would have been greeted in a...
Read moreWriting this review inside the restaurant so you know how bad this is. Normally like franco manca in Victoria, no complaints from there, but Holborn was disgusting. Walked in, some guy waved us to go to a table. Was ignored for atleast 15 mins after we tried getting attention to have our order taken. When the guy came to take our order, he gave us the dirtiest look someone can give, me and my boyfriend looked at eachother in disbelief. After asking for tap water, he said with an attitude, tap?. After saying what food we wanted he just walked away mid sentence and didn’t speak to us other than the tap comment. Waited 15 mins for food (fine by me) pizza was not sliced. The pizza was on the raw side so hard to slice with a knife and fork. We asked for a pizza slicer (which took a further 5 mins as the workers were walking past us and as we said excuse me in a polite way, they just completely ignored us), and a different man said why can’t you just use a knife and fork like everybody else. He only cut my partners pizza not mine and at this point I didn’t want to have any further interactions with anybody here. Took the service charge off and he had attitude about that too muttering under his breath. I work in hospitality and pay service all the time and tip also, I would be doing myself a disservice if I agreed to pay for that service. Staff are rude, just chatting all the time with no cares. Higher management need to come and fix this place, as other branches are a LOT better. AVOID...
