Good Samaritan — Restaurant in London

Unfortunately, We didn’t have a pleasant experience as the waitress, Linda, was quite rude to us. Firstly, she rolled her eyes several times while serving our drinks and when asked what the problem was, she comfronted us and talked to us in a very inappropriate way. Then, she made a mistake and served us a pint instead of half. When told that we had ordered a half pint she said “well, if you have ordered a half pint, I’d have served you a half pint” and asked her colleague to serve us claiming that she could not understand our accent. I asked to buy some shots for my friend’s birthday and my server (from the table) told me that he only earned £12 an hour. He then went on to tell me that I “probably earned way more than him” and therefore to buy my own shots. For context, I was always going to pay for the shots and did not expect a freebie, I just wanted to notify that we had a birthday so to make a fuss when delivering them. I thought this was very rude and unprofessional given that we were in the establishment for 2+ hours. A very nice pub.. And the food is amazing....compliments to the chef.... And didn't have to wait long for it either... Just one negative which is a shame..... The barman (think he is the manager.. Short with glasses.. ) always looks so miserable...and isn't very accommodating... He had to be asked 3 times before he put the fire on and it was a chilly day ... pub is a short walk from the hospital so I have been spending a lot of time in here.... He never has a smile on his face... Never engages with the customers...alot of custom is from the hospital, people that are sad and upset a friendly face is what...
