Not sure if we got unlucky, but left feeling really ripped off by stingy portions and a bit let down by the experience as a whole. Lovely atmosphere, but The wine was super mediocre, The crisps tasted like a simple packet of European lays (£4!), the sourdough was nice, as was the pork. The black hummus was absolutely minuscule in size and the cod was even more minuscule (literally gone in about 5 dips of some bread and again very salty but for £10 was ridiculous). Staff were nice, but service very slow and had to get menus myself. Overall, definitely wouldn’t go again. The table next to us has the same experience as we spoke to them throughout. We walk in and a sommelier says let’s try two different sparkling wines, a nice way to start the evening. Both delicious, he was right. The wine maker happens to be here. Read moreFantastic cozy little place with a great selection of wines. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in finding the right wines for the sort of taste profile we were looking for. Jamie was an absolute superstar making sure we got to try the wines and liked them before committing to a glass. The menu and food looked great, but did not have time to try it unfortunately.
