I was here last night. Food was a 2/5 and the host/waiter went round with a headphone in his ear. None of that would warrant me to have to write this review, but then I found a piece of thin metal wire in my food. It looked like it was used to hold the raw meat in place before cooking, and wasn’t removed. It was quite long and if I had swallowed it, it would not have been great. When I told the host/waiter he apologised and said he would go and speak to the chef about it. Then went and hid in the kitchen. We waited for the bill for 20 minutes and he didn’t come back. Presumably because he either didn’t want to talk about it, couldn’t be bothered or didn’t want to give us a discount on the meal. Which had it been my business and someone found a metal item in a dish I served I would have been mortified, not vanished. Was there some kind of Hackney portal he fell into? We had to get up and go ask someone for the bill in the end. All in all not worth it guys. Maybe we’ll never find the host/waiter...

Been here a few times now during my lunch break. Not being an expert in this type of cuisine, for me it is very tasty. I've had a handful of different dishes and all seem to be freshly prepared. As I've only visited when they've just opened at lunchtime, I am usually the only one in there, so can't make a fair comment on the general atmosphere. My only gripe so far is the portions are a bit on the small side, however I have a big appetite, so for a normal person it's probably OK. The one member of staff that I've seen is very friendly and always greets me and takes the time to have a chat. He always points out that all the ingredients they use are purchased daily from a local supermarket (which I won't name) so compared to the other local Vietnamese restaurants theirs is the best by far. As you can see from my pictures, the portion size seems to vary for no apparent reason, but trust me on this, the food is good. I would definitely recommend a...

As a Bun Bo Hue enthusiast and a pilgrim of Vietnamese restaurants + local stalls in Vietnam I can proudly confirm that this has been my favourite outside Vietnam so far.

Something about their broth hits different.. it’s honestly hard to describe but somehow every sip slaps my tongue screaming “How about I complete your life”. My partner who is the biggest non-Asian Pho fan I’ve ever met doesn’t even dare to breathe when slurping these noodles. It’s just simply dang good.

Also the owners are super friendly! Surely you shouldn’t expect what is provided at a Michelin starred French restaurant, but as an Asian myself their lively and lovely attitude is the exact customer service I would...

Vietnamese classics done right. Ordered takeaway from here and it hit the spot. The pho was the perfect blend of heartiness and freshness, the richness of the broth balanced out by crisp and fresh vegetables. The summer roles were thick, chewy dough giving way to crunchy veg with chunks of tofu soaking up the tangy peanut sauce. The interior was inviting and relaxed, and the owner was friendly. Highly recommended
