This was my first visit to Burnt Mill after discovering it on a previous walk. I returned with my wife for lunch midweek, taking advantage of the £7.99 offer of any classic pizza with a drink. It was extra good given that all ingredients are halal, meaning that I was not restricted to vegetarian pizzas only, unlike other pizzerias where I am. We ordered one with ground lamb, mushrooms & black pepper (agnello) and another with pepperoni, turkey ham & green chillies (picante). The food arrived on wooden boards and within a reasonable timeframe. We were provided with chilli & garlic oils, and the table had additional dried herbs to add if desired. Fresh & hot! Tasty as can be. I'll definitely be back with family. Even the cutlery was perfect for the job as I was looking to avoid the all too common gum burn from the early first few bites! After that, I used my hands to get the full pizza experience! The pizzas were large enough that between me and my wife, our leftovers (we are not big eaters!) probably amounted to almost a full pizza, for which we were provided a takeaway box. Cannot fault one aspect of the food. Staff serving and cooking were on the ball & welcoming! The range of options is large, so I can't see myself getting bored of the same options anytime soon. I noticed they had a projector & screen setup for sporting events or for use at kids' parties. What more could you want from a local pizzeria? No more frozen pizzas for my family with this gem within walking distance from home. Highly recommend without reservation. Able to accommodate larger groups as pretty spacious. Check it out before it becomes so popular you struggle to get a seat!!! Lovely decor with 5* hygiene rating.

Um, this isn’t a 4.9 experience! It feels as though it’s mainly a takeaway place & the venue itself is like a large seating area almost. The pizza itself is nice but nothing wow. The menu is quite large and caters for vegans. We shared one of the specials with a salad & chicken strips on the side. The chicken strips were quite nice, we chopped it into the salad which we think made it nicer. The salad was fine, although the olives still had their stones. No condiments except takeaway garlic dip pots. Pizza was fine, it’s a pizza. But wasn’t the stone baked experience I was expecting (it is made fresh as you can watch them in the kitchen). You order & pay at the till so not much to go on for service, although they did bring us extra garlic dip. I would not go out of my way to eat here. If you’re a local wanting a quick pizza, maybe, but it’s just a normal takeout pizza place.

Here's some proper pizza and fully halal too. Checked out @burntmillpizzauk who import everything from Italy which means they're serious about their pizzas. Even the dough is fermented for days to get the right texture and structure. It all make sense as the pizzas were great. Tried a variety and my favorite was just the basic margarita as you can appreciate all the basic ingredients. £7.95 for it was awesome value too. They have a pretty big pizza menu so I'm sure there's something for everyone but most loaded pizzas are around £10-£12 which is still good value. For dessert we got some Nutella pizza bread but I wasn't a fan to be honest. The type of dough just didn't work for a dessert but I think they're launching a pistachio one which might be better. A great casual and affordable option for pizza.

We came here - 4 adults, 2 kids - for lunch ahead of the pantomime at Hackney theatre due to its proximity and the menu, and were delighted. I had called up the restaurant a few days before to check if they'd be able to accommodate 6 of us with a short space of time, and they were so helpful on the phone that we were really looking forward to coming.

We were looked after really well, the venue is spotlessly clean and the kids liked being able to see the pizzas being made.

We had 6 different pizzas, ALL of them delicious as well as garlic bread and arancini - again a big hit. So tasty and you can tell the ingredients are good quality. Would even say these pizzas are as good as some I've had in Italy.

Thoroughly recommend Burnt mill pizza to everyone. They take cash (thank goodness), are friendly and efficient, serve mouthwatering food, and you feel like a local straight away.

Good Customer service shouldn't come as a surprise but it does because these days it's so rare and the team at Burnt Mill has it in spades so I want to highlight that as well as them really delivering on tasty food and drinks, at very good prices. We will absolutely come here again....
