⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding service and food – an unforgettable experience at Sun Kitchen!
I recently ordered a takeaway from Sun Kitchen, and I have to say, it was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had in a very long time. I ordered a platter and the lamb koftiko, and not only was the food absolutely delicious and freshly prepared, but the level of service I received was exceptional — something truly rare these days.
As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a gentleman named Huseyin, whose charm and genuine hospitality immediately stood out. He greeted me with a smile, assured me that my order was being prepared, and within moments, it was ready. What impressed me most was that Huseyin personally checked my order, making sure everything was correct and properly packed. He took such pride in ensuring everything was just right.
To my surprise and delight, he even had one of his team members carry the order to my car — an incredibly thoughtful gesture that you don’t often see anymore. It was such a simple act of kindness, but it reflected the warmth, respect, and genuine care this restaurant has for its customers.
From start to finish, I felt valued and looked after. The food was excellent — beautifully seasoned, generous in portion, and full of flavour. But what truly made this experience stand out was Huseyin’s exceptional customer service. He represents the heart and soul of what makes Sun Kitchen special: hospitality, attention to detail, and sincerity.
I will definitely be returning soon — not only for the amazing food but because of the way I was made to feel welcome and appreciated. Thank you, Huseyin, and the entire team at Sun Kitchen, for going above and beyond. You’ve truly set the standard for...
Read moreOrdered from Deliveroo after seeing great reviews and photos and were horribly disappointed. The Turkish breakfast was abysmal. We received: a few slices of fried halloumi (just okay), a few small slices of sucuk (also fine, impossible to ruin), several tortilla wraps (??), a small amount of creamy indescript cheese, olives that weren't great, some salads, a single falafel that was obviously from a packet, and the rubberiest cold fried eggs I've ever had the misfortune of trying to eat. We also inexplicably received tiny portions of vanilla rice pudding and coleslaw. No gorgeous fluffy bread, no quince jam, and the olives weren't even as nice as the jarred ones in our fridge. (What kind of monster puts white flour tortilla wraps in a Turkish breakfast? What were we supposed to do with those?)
The coffee arrived thrown into the bag like a can of soda, and was so weak it was more like "whispers of latte" than a coffee. We also ordered the Menemen, which was packaged very poorly and leaked all over the rest of our food. The bag was soaking wet, and the dish was not remotely worth it.
Order if you're looking for a lukewarm "Turkish-inspired English breakfast", which is being incredibly generous. Will never order again, would give 0 stars...
Read moreNot cheap and the staff have no idea about what they are serving. Probably plausible for people who have never visited Turkey. The baba ganoush is almost pure yoghurt and indistinguishable from the cacik and other sides which are also just pure yoghurt. Even the waitresses and chef don’t know which is which! Quite comical. I must say that accordingly to the other reviews, people seem to like it so each to their own!
[Edit: in the restaurant’s response we are being accused of using racist language which is a blatant lie and frankly libellous. I am appalled that the restaurant owners would stoop this low to try and discredit a bad review. I am leaving this bad review to highlight to others the kind of people that run this restaurant, who accuse upstanding guest of serious but strangely...
