I visited the Half Million Cafe branch located in front of Selfridges in London today and ordered the signature coffee. After a long wait, I noticed that several customers who arrived after me received their orders while I was still waiting. I approached the staff member and politely asked about my order, only to be told to wait a little longer. It was frustrating to see her serving her friends who arrived later, while I continued to wait.
When I finally received my order, I was disappointed to find that it was not prepared as I expected. It was overly frothy, resembling a cappuccino instead of a latte. As a regular customer, I know how it should be made, so I requested a replacement. Unfortunately, the staff member reacted with visible annoyance and called over a colleague to prepare my order. Her body language and gestures were unprofessional and disrespectful, making me feel belittled for voicing my concerns.
I believe that in a reputable cafe and brand, customer service should be prioritized, and staff should maintain a professional demeanor. I hope this feedback will lead to improvements in staff training and customer...
Read moreI just went to this coffee shop, and while waiting for our order, a gentleman arrived 5 minutes after us and spoke to the staff in an Asian language. They began making his drinks before ours, even though we were the first ones there, and the door was closed until it was opened for them. I asked why this was happening since we were there before the other customers. They started accusing me of being racist, talking over each other, with each person saying something different. The lady wearing a black scarf claimed they had paid earlier and were now coming to collect their drinks, which isn’t true because they paid only when I was there. The gentleman with glasses (an Asian person) said, “You are racist.” I would argue that you may not fully understand what racism means, but serving people who speak your language before anyone else is, in fact, racist.
I will post this on my social media as I am an influencer, so people can be cautious of your practices and the way you can spoil someone’s evening. Also, you need to learn proper customer service and how to treat...
Read moreI recently visited Half Million Coffee on Oxford Street in London and had a wonderful experience. The café has a modern, cozy atmosphere with a clean and inviting design, making it a perfect spot for a coffee break while exploring the city.
I tried their famous hot chocolate, and it was absolutely delicious — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. The presentation was also impressive, and it truly felt like a special treat. It’s one of the best hot chocolates I’ve had in a while.
There was a bit of a wait since the place is quite popular and there was a queue for orders, but honestly, it was worth it. The staff were friendly and professional, handling the crowd efficiently while maintaining a warm and welcoming attitude.
Overall, I highly recommend Half Million Coffee for anyone visiting London and looking for a high-quality coffee or hot chocolate experience in a stylish, lively setting. I would definitely visit again on...
