Really disappointed. I specifically said I didn't want warm tones and that I work in a conversative environment. My colourist ignored me. She talked me into an ombre effect which she promised would be subtle. It isn't. The darker tone after one wash turned orange. The ombre is just an uneven line of yellow at the ends, with a yellow fringe.
The colourist told the stylist to curl my hair (nice to not be consulted) and the salon was relatively dark, so this wasn't obvious until after I'd left the salon and washed the curls out. Her earlier comments that ombre really only worked on wavy hair might be a clue as to why I wasn't given a choice about the styling. One wonders why she didn't consult me as to how I usually wear my hair in the £25 non-refundable charge for an initial consultation.
I asked for Olaplex, but wasn't given it.
And for all this, I paid over £375. Considering I was told by her staff at the consultation that what I had been booked in for should be around the £200-£250 mark, I was flabbergasted. As I hadn't been given a formal quote, I felt at the time I had no choice, but in hindsight I wish I'd kicked up a fuss. I wrote a letter of complaint, but this has not been answered.
I should have realised they may not live up to the hype when, during my consultation, my colourist asked one of her staff whether another client's hair was "good enough" to show me, or the fact that the lady next to me on the day was getting a correction from a botched ombre job. Don't make my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the immense pleasure to have come to FOUR London last year, as an emergency, with no appointment, and was extremely satisfied with the service at that time š. My shampoo and the styling of my natural and curly hair was perfectly executed and I was able to enjoy my day of work, followed by the Christmas Party planned this evening š.
This is so naturally that I decided to come back to them this year, again for a Christmas Party. The atmosphere of the salon is calm and luxurious, you really feel welcomed and at home. I was offered something to drink and the whole experience was very pleasant and enjoyable š.
Sacha did my shampoo and Maya did the styling. Both were incredibly kind, professional, great customer service and knowledgeable in their trade š. I was extremely satisfied by how my hair turned out š . I wanted a simple blow-dry, and Maya did a great job at it. She was thorough and precise in her gestures, and it made me feel like a million pounds š. She also used some products (much-needed) in my hair, and I could see and feel the difference before and after. I could not have asked for a better result š¤©.
They are great assets to FOUR and really live up to the standards that FOUR sets š. I will definitely come back and I cannot thank Maya and Sacha enough for their time, appreciation, skills and...
Read moreWas really excited to have my hair done here and I opted to go for one of their Colour Director. Safe to say that I put £300 down the drain and needing to go to another salon to have the colour fixed. The hair colourist didn't know how to deal with my hair and it's clear she only deals with light coloured hair and was quite nervous dealing with someone with darker hair. We didn't achieve the colour I wanted and they recommend you coming back which to me is completely bizarre. I've never been to a hair dresser where a colour/results can't be achieved within the first session and you needing to come back constantly which is just a waste of time. Despite coming back on two separate occasions, the colour still looked awful. I ended up going to another salon who managed to achieve amazing results in just 45 minutes and he told me that my hair hadn't been toned and that's why it looked brassy. Although the girls at the salon are lovely and friendly, the experience was a bit of a let down especially when you're paying so much for someone who you expect to be experienced. There should be clearer expectations from their hairdressers about level of competency and if you can't work with a particular hair type, it's best to be upfront about it...
