Hash E8 is a little off the beaten track, but it's well worth the 10 minute walk from Dalston Kingsland for a solid brunch offering. The pig muffin was a sizable plate of food, layered pork belly, bacon, sausage and egg between softy English muffins were beautifully cooked. The food was faultless. So why 3 stars? We got to Hash E8 at just gone 3, were told it'd be a 10 minute wait for a table for two. By the time we were actually seated and served (after being moved from one table to another), it was edging towards 4. A 'text me when my tables ready' option would really have been appreciated, and given the time it actually took to get seated and served, we'd have probably eaten elsewhere. The halloumi was good, but actually could’ve gone without it in hindsight & just stuck with the dish as is!
Also quite enjoyed the filter coffee, which was fresh, hot, and tasty. Staff was super nice and efficient as well.
Will definitely be...

Hash does offer top quality breakfast food; particularly their pancakes and beetroot hash. The service is quick and friendly.
However, if you're relying on comfort food to cure your hangover, you've come to the wrong place. Unfortunately, for the price you pay, the portion size is severely lacking. Two problems in particular stood out.

Hash definitely has a bright future if they refrain from...
