Yori Sushi Hackney — Restaurant in London

By far the worst and most rude establishment I have ever come across. Portions were literally a 3rd full. The duck was like dog food. The sauces were bland and disgusting. Look at their positive reviews, they are obviously FAKE I called the manager/owner to tell him that we were still hungry and to please send more food as the containers had only a dribble of food in them. He continually fobbed me off and said it was deliveroo's fault. They don't cook or box up the food as far as I'm aware. He told me continually that they essentially were not responsible for anything with the order. He asked over and over again what the problem was and as I would answer he would cut me off. I said that we were all still hungry and disappointed with our food and he said simply that they had been open for 11 years. Like that proves anything. It was like he was trying to say 'I've been swindling people for 11 years, do you think I care if you are disappointed?' He then said to call a number which I wrote down only because getting off of the phone with this highly ignorant and rude man was now becoming my main objective. The number was the deliveroo helpline but not for customers but for the actual restaurants. They redirected me to the customers helpline and then they kept me on hold for 20 minutes before unceremoniously cutting me off the line.

This ruined my Sunday. Places like this shouldn't be allowed charge such extortionate prices for such absolute garbage food. Please don't give these exploitative people your money.

I had an incredible dining experience here! I ordered the ramen noodles and chicken fried rice, both were hot, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. The drink was cold and very refreshing, Munni who served me, was so kind and welcoming. The flavors in the food were rich, bold, and well-balanced, clearly seasoned with care and served piping hot.I am someone who loves cooking and I can testify that they chef is very good at what he does. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in getting it right, and they did just that. Every bite was satisfying, comforting, and packed with authentic taste.

The staff experience was just as excellent as the food. Despite my indecisiveness while ordering (I couldn’t choose because everything looked good!), the team remained incredibly patient, friendly, and welcoming. Munni, the server who attended to me, was especially respectful and attentive, true professional with a kind demeanor. It is rare to find a place where the service complements the food so well, but this restaurant has nailed both. The restaurant was clean, including the toilets, and the interior design was stunning, modern, cozy, and inviting.

For someone that loves Thai and Chinese cuisine, after seeing all the ‘good’ reviews, this was a huge let down.

Dim sum, was cold, had peppers on top (why?), sent it back back straight away, came back slightly warmer (restaurant was empty so can’t understand why it was cold). Flavour was lacking, soy sauce had to enhance it. Bao bun was okay. Chow mein was made plain, kids enjoyed it. Star of the show was the dragon roll, soy sauce took it to the next level. Passion fruit mojito was passion fruit juice, lime or some cordial at the bottom, not mixed well, mint leaf sticking out of the glass? That’s not how a mojito should be, really disappointed. Biggest let down was drunken noodle! Not saucy enough, good spice level but missing the biggest key ingredient, authentic Thai basil! Big let down and it was DRY, drunken noodles is meant to be juicy!

Also, was hoping the waitress asked how the food was but she didn’t, would have been open in person. Had high expectations after seeing reviews but not great, maybe people are used to Bangaldeshi chefs cooking Thai/Chinese dishes but for me, this experience wasn’t authentic enough. Price was...
