Its 10pm on a Tuesday and you're in Liverpool street after couple of drinks, needing a quick feed before getting your train. Normally you'd go to the Macdonald's that's always rammed, but its been literally just two drinks. "Maybe I'll try something a bit better" you think, and you remember you walked past that Honest Smash place. You like regular Honest, so maybe this is just what you need... You order at the big screen and barely a couple of minutes later your order number gets called out. You went for a 'hot' - just the single patty but you had options for up to a triple stack if you wanted. You take a seat in a bland, soulless and quiet room. You unwrap your burger take a bite. The beef tastes literally of salt and nothing else. After pondering whether you're eating fried cardboard you decide take them at their word that it is indeed meat. The overpowering vinegary sauce is the only other thing you can taste. You stick some mayo in just to taste something else. You instantly curse yourself for not going to Maccies, wolf the rest down and just about make your train. All you taste on your journey home is salt and the bitter tang of regret. You drink two pints of water in the hope that you don't wake up having transformed into a block of salt, and fall asleep dreaming you're half drowning in a sea of vinegar...

Have used this Honest frequently when you in town. This was our first (and last) visit to this new version. No one greets you to take you to your seat; you have to order from a screen (had to try 2 before one worked): the menu is very limited with no monthly special burger or local burger (supporting local suppliers): drinks are even more limited again with no local beer. The only time any of the 3 staff spoke "to" me was to say our order number. I had opted to dine in , though the only difference from take out would seem to be our food was served on a try rather than a bag , but they still came wrapped in paper, with the rosemary fries in a cardboard take out carton (no longer do the fries automatically come with the burger. The chicken burger was dry; the tribute smash was disappointing and not what I'm used to from previous visits to Honest; the most disappointing was the fries ...at least 50% of them were what I'd call scraps. Drinks we both had sofas that you're given plastic cups to serve yourself from post mix machine. All in all, friendly welcome, no tasty food and no appreciation from the staff. It felt like any other burger chain but at 2/3 times the price. I hope that this "experiment" in changing Honest doesn't roll out to the others as we always enjoy the many we visit across London.

I've heard a lot about this franchise. Wanted to see what the fuss was about. Upon entering its quite dark, with a red glowing appearance. Super clean, I was impressed. Tables were spotless and no sign of rubbish anywhere! Ordered a few meals and they were ready in around 15 minutes. Packaging focused on recycling, which I can appreciate. My tribute burger was average, thus the reason I gave three stars. I found it quite oily, the patty had some harder pieces which I could taste throughout the burger. It was medium well and that's how I like it. Fries were fresh, I'm not a big fan of rosemary on fries, so that's a personal preference. On a whole I would say the beef has room for improvement. I have had better quality beef patties for less. The chicken tenders were a force to be reckoned with! Juicy meat with a crunchy outer skin.

Delicious food, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. It was our first visit to an Honest Burgers restaurant and we weren't disappointed, the visit was exactly as expected.

Upon arrival we were greeted and seated, the atmosphere and furnishings were pleasant in the restaurant and there were clean toilet facilities.

The menu offering was plentiful and it had some great simple options and also fancier burgers too. There is something on there for everyone with beef burgers, vegetarian options and chicken too! Most of the burgers come with fries and they do a special bundle deal too, with drink options.

Once we had ordered the food we didn't have to wait too long and then the food was brought out hot and fresh, with great presentation. It was absolutely delicious and full of flavour, I'd definitely recommend the smashed burgers as they're authentic and cooked perfectly.

No room for dessert, but we were most happy! The restaurant wasn't busy at all but the service lacked slightly once we'd finished, as we waited a while for someone to clear the table and weren't offered the bill. I had to eventually go to the counter because after more than 15 minutes of waiting nobody had come to offer the bill and then when paying, I asked to remove the optional service charge of 12.5% as I didn't want to pay it. I was asked why I wanted to remove it, but I couldn't tell if this was a challenge to me or way of seeking genuine feedback? Nevertheless, I paid the bill owed and then we left with a departure greeting.

The service was good and the staff were not rude at all however the reason for the four-star review and not five-star review, is the excessive wait time once finished and then not being given the bill. I don't agree with service charges being added to bills however if necessary a tip can be given but I didn't feel the service went above and beyond or warranted a service charge/tip. It was good service, but that is what I expect eating out at a location like this.

Overall, it was a good visit but the service charge question left me feeling slightly annoyed as it is optional for a reason! The staff however were friendly and the ambience in the restaurant was great. Would I return? Certainly! Would I recommend it to friends and family? Most definitely.

It was a good visit and I'd recommend this location to those seeking a tasty and satisfying meal out at an affordable price whilst not compromising on quality or...

Attended the Bottomless Brunch at this location and having heard many good things about Honest was excited to finally be sampling their fare. Unfortunately while the value for the brunch is great, I was left rather disappointed by the quality of the food. Fries that felt like they'd been sitting out for a while or refried. Burgers in cold untoasted buns, patties cooked perfectly but still somehow a tad dry and lacking any discernible flavour or seasoning. Are these made with leaner cuts of meat perhaps? I don't know but I was left perplexed by the multitude of high ratings for this institution. Perhaps they change the recipe for the brunch burgers or this may just not be the best branch... Whatever it is, I'm not sure I'll be in a hurry to revisit and find out. There are so many good burgers out there (especially in this area). If the highest premium flavour echelon of burger is what you want, maybe look elsewhere - if you want a filling brunch then it's worth a look.

Just beware, there was a mix up with an order that meant a member of my party went without their food for over 30 mins, which in a timed slot booking is an even more significant period of time. Yet the way it was handled with barely even an acknowledgement of the fault left him with a sour taste in the mouth and tarnished his experience. It must be an understandably tough job during the busy brunches but still, a little customer care...
