Would give no stars if I could, Never again will I eat at “ Jams on the hill” in BECKENHAM on the Highstreet. Went in for a dessert this evening. Ordered a WARM brownie and cookie dough for my sister. My brownie was luke warm to start with, two bites in it was completely cold, completely uncooked brownie. Initally I thought it was just a gooey brownie but I soon realised it not been cooked only warmed the brownie had not baked a single bit and after waiting 25mins I would of thought it would be cooked. After trying to get the waiters attention for 15mins I gave up and decided to inform him after my sister had finished her dessert when I mentioned to the waiter that the brown was uncooked and cold he refused to half the price of the browniw : as I had had two spoon fulls I didn’t feel it was right to completely take it off. The gentleman was EXTREMELY rude didn’t want to help and I asked for a manager where he proceeded to tell me he was the manager but didn’t want to give me his name. He told me “I’ve been working if restaurants for a longer time then you I know what I’m talking about and I’m not taking anything off your bill”
The customer service I received was absolutely disgusting having years experience as a restaurant manager myself, I would never speak to customers the way I was spoken to.
Disappointing food and service definitely avoid. Much better restaurants in the area who actually care about customers and give...

Had booked for father's day, as they're website claims to have bottomless brunch and when booked for the day it also asked what we were booking for and we had selected bottomless brunch. We arrived promptly at out booking time and when asked about the bottomless brunch we were told by the host that they don't do bottomless on those "festivities" like fathers day, mothers day or bank holidays, and my reply was "there isn't anything written on the website or on booking" the host replied "there aren't many things mentioned on the website", no apology or anything at all, ended up ordering a few drinks and bites as we were disappointed by that, service overall wasn't there, just the waitresses brought us drink and food, but no checks on the table making sure all was good or an apology for having lured us is on a special occasion like fathers day to have a bottomless brunch and left with no choice but to sit down and trying to enjoy some drinks and food because everywhere else would have been fully booked. Also my drink arrived after the food was brought to the table already... shame Not impressed,...
Read moreA great burger, inventive brunch options and an exquisitely decorated restaurant for brunch.
I want to try the other things on the menu like butter chicken and pancakes! I had the burger there with chips and a kale smoothie. Everything was full of flavour and the portions generous. My kale smoothie tickled my taste buds it was light and airy more like a healthy cocktail. The burger I had was very juicy and not over garnished, it didn't need it, the meat spoke for itself. I thought the presentation of the food was fair and the price a little too much. We paid £40 for two burgers and two smoothies.
The location is good. You can't hear the street from inside. It is very spacious and I think it would be wonderful for birthday gatherings, functions and hot summer nights. I wouldn't find it children friendly though I am sure they are but I think the place is probably suited to people young or youngish at heart without kids. Go here for a first date or anniversary brunch.
A lot of effort has gone into the look of the place. It is exceptionally tasteful inside. My admiring eyes were dancing everywhere looking at the stylish choices of wall...
