I wish I could rate this place as a zero but Google won't let me.
Me two of my friends and our kids went here (5 of us all together 3 adults and 2 kids) about 2 weeks ago now to go and eat. Before we went we saw an Instagram post stating that kids eat free with every adult meal. We then called up to book a table and had this information reconfirmed on the telephone. We booked a table for 3pm made our way to the restaurant we arrived at 3.05 and then had to wait 55 minutes to be seated. When on the way to be seated, we was told by the person seating us " you know the kids eat free as long as it's with an adults meal" So for the record. This is 3 times we have been told kids eat free.
We then had to wait another 20 minutes before the first person even arrived to take our drink order. We took this opportunity to order our food at the same time. 4 of the plates came out after about 10/15 minutes which was fine. The last one came out after about 25/30 minutes. Now we pretty much all order the Sunday roast which I would guess would take pretty similar times to be prepared and brought out. Whilst eating i ordered a coke, After about 10 minutes of it not arriving. I then ordered another one which also never arrived.
Eventually the person who originally took my coke order came over and asked if I received the coke to which I replied no but as I had now finished eating I no longer want it.
Fast forward to bill paying time
The bill originally arrived and it was pretty much £100 On closer inspection I realised. Not only had I been charged for the 2 cokes that never arrived. I was also charged for the 2 apparently free kids meals. I then questioned this with a member of staff who said he will get it sorted. He went away and came back with the manager who said. "We can take off the 2 cokes but you still have to pay for the kids meals" when asked why that is he said. The deal changed on the 1st of December. The date was currently The 8th of December I then showed him the Instagram post that had been uploaded 8 hours earlier which would of made it 9am on the 8th of December. His response was head office got it wrong and I'd you have an issue I should raise it with them. He then wrote down an email address. I then reluctantly paid because I didn't want to embarrass myself in the restaurant.
I emailed the address given to me before I even left the restaurant with screenshots of every thing I then got a reply the next day said they would get back to me in the next few days It's now the 17th December I have sent 2 follow up emails and haven't received absolutely nothing in return. No explain, no refund not even an apology for my experience
I would NEVER eat here again and I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreVery disappoint! I have been to this restaurant around 10 times, usually with my partner but friends too. Each and every time I get the salad with steak and prawns, I also recommend the dish and this is the only dish I eat in there. My two mates also got salad with steak, asked our preference (friend medium rear) (me medium well). Both my friends complained because steak was tough, the waiter response was that they don’t do medium rear, whereby I replied that they do because they have mistakenly given me it before. Anyway, the manger came and the sorted it, the manager asked me if mine was okay I said yes but the steak is cold and he swept the plate from me so quickly (although I would have just eat it, as my other friend did she was so hungry and just couldn’t be asked to complain. Manager brought back my salad and I asked if they had microwaved the steak, his response was no we put it back on the grill!! So, as you can imagine the steak was even more tough and I just didn’t complain further. Manger gave use a free drink each. Now once I had eaten my food we was still hungry and as I have stated I always get this dish and usually filling. So, I looked at old pictures of the dish and notice that before the gave 10 prawn, but only gave five this time, and the steak was halved as we all compered what we was given, to old pictures of the dish that iv previously taken. My friend made her complaints and the manager took off the service charge which was deserved, however, I attempted to talk to the manager and bring the size of the dish to his attention, bare in mind we have already paid so I was not trying to pay half as I really should have, I just wanted ask the manager if this was the new portion size because was half the size of what iv had about 10 times before, but the manager dismissed me and said he’s not going to talk to me didn’t care what I wanted to say and told be the restaurants get so busy implying he don’t need my custom and he wasn’t going to listen. Well hope I hope he reads this and deals with customers better in future, obviously I will not...
Read moreI recently visited Yamas for their bottomless brunch, and unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations. The venue was lovely and while the concept sounded great, the service was incredibly slow. We had to keep asking for our drinks, and it took 25–45 minutes for them to arrive. For a bottomless brunch, this just isn’t acceptable. If the menu had instead stated a set number of drinks, like 3 per person, it would have lowered expectations and made the experience feel more honest. By calling it "bottomless" but failing to deliver, it felt misleading and disappointing.
The food was nice, but it wasn’t what I’d call authentic Greek. I also felt it was more like a smaller version of their main menu dishes but it was enough still and nicely presented. The cocktails were tasty, but they were served in smaller glasses than the ones we ordered and paid for at the bar. At £40, the price wasn’t bad, but the slow service made it feel like we weren’t getting full value.
What really spoiled the experience was the attitude of the staff. Each time we asked about our drinks, they blamed one another, and the manager didn’t handle the situation well at all. At least three other tables were also complaining about similar issues. Their “resolution” was to remove the service charge, which we were happy with but it didn’t really address the root problem. The fact that other tables were also dissatisfied suggests to me a systemic issue with the restaurant's management or operations.
It’s a shame because the food and drinks were actually nice, but the experience was let down by poor organization and unprofessional behavior. If they had been more open to feedback and focused on improving the customer experience, it could have been a much better outing.
I hope they take these comments on board because the concept has potential, but they need to up their game when it comes to service and...
