Really good spot for Jamaican food. The aesthetics of the shop is really nice, I especially like the outline of Jamaica with different writing inside of it using the Jamaican colours. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. We ordered Jerk chicken with rice and peas, jerk chicken pasta, festival and a portion of plantain. Just a quick FYI they’ve jerk chicken pasta is pepper. Definitely went a bit overboard with the spice as it did not need that much. There was so much spice it was hard to taste the food. The jerk chicken was flavourful and the rice and peas were cooked well. The festival and plantain were amazing, really tasty. I’m definitely coming back for them, especially the festival it was so sweet. The only small downside was that a couple of items on the menu were not in stock. The price was not bad but the portion sizes are on the smaller side. Staff were really welcoming. Packaging was neat and the food stayed hot. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Such as the stuffed dumplings, Macaroni and cheese, and patty.

Very good atmosphere on first arrival and the shop was very clean however, myself and other customers had to wait 35/40 minutes for our order. To add to this, I even had to return back to the shop as they had forgotten an item. The Jerk wings I ordered had a lot of flavour and were well seasoned, but they were very dry possibly due to the time of day. The plantain was ripe and very sweet which complimented the meal. Overall the food was good, however the service wasn’t the greatest because of how long I had to wait but could be a one off. Would go back.

This is real soul food! I thought I had eaten good jerk chicken before but this was immaculate. Amazing balance between sweet and spicy - had a good kick. And the sauce/gravy! On the rice and peas it is heavenly! Very filling portion and lovely customer service and ambience. I had the lunchtime special and can't wait to come again with different people! Would definitely recommend if you're ever in Hackney.

This is real soul food! I thought I had eaten good jerk chicken before but this was immaculate. Amazing balance between sweet and spicy - had a good kick. And the sauce/gravy! On the rice and peas it is heavenly! Very filling portion and lovely customer service and ambience. I had the lunchtime special and can't wait to come again with different people! Would definitely recommend if you're ever in Hackney.

I recently ordered takeaway from here and even without dining in, the food was amazing! I ordered the loaded fries and steamed vegetables, and both dishes were packed with flavour. They don’t play with the portion sizes either, you get your monies worth. I was also given some pasta to try which was also delicious! The staff are very pleasant, friendly and helpful.

The loaded fries were an absolute standout—crispy, well-seasoned, and generously topped just the right amount of spice. Each bite was a perfect balance of crunch and bold flavours. The steamed vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked, with the right amount of seasoning that made them a great, lighter complement to the fries.

Though it was takeaway, the food was packaged well, fresh and HOT, keeping all the flavours intact.

I will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend!!
