Joy Cafe — Restaurant in London

We ordered delivery and ate in our own home. The food was still hot and delicious. We ordered 2 coffees, 2 cakes, and one club sandwich, which came with chips and salad. This was a filling lunch for the two of us.

Coffee was really lovely, and cakes looked beautiful and tasted amazing.

The sandwich was nice and the sauce especially delicious. I did find the chicken a little dry, the breast fillet was lovely and big but this made the presentation a bit wonky, perhaps could be improved if it were flattened before cooking. Overall though, a lovely lunch we both thoroughly enjoyed.

The meal came to about £24 for the two of us which felt like a more than fair price for what we got. If we are ever in the area we are planning to pop in for a sit down coffee and cake again, and perhaps try one of their other lunch options which all...

I ordered a cake for my mum’s 80th birthday from here. Good communication prior to ordering the cake. My husband went to collect the cake and when it arrived home the top layer collapsed. It was not secured properly to the bottom layer. The dowels were not stabilising the cake properly so it collapsed. The cake had to be separated so that we could take nice pictures with mum blowing the candles. We had to do some damage control on the buttercream and try and to repair the look of the cake. I did send pics and explained what had happened. All I got back from Joy Cafe was an apology and was asked to bring the cake back. This was my third time in this wonderful café and I was expecting to enjoy as the two previous times, until today. The coffee and the sweet I had were good as always but the waitress was extremely rude to me. After she making a mistake with the bill, which I didn't give importance after her correction, I just asked her for some help asking if she knew about a shop nearby in order to run an errand I had to. Her reply was "why didn't you ask her?" To which I replied "OK..thank you for your kindness" and she said with no expression on her face "you're welcome".
