I have been a client in kaipiras for more than ten years, I have always enjoyed the food and had a good time there with friends and family.

I have ordered some food last week as I occasionally do and to my surprise the portion wasn’t the usual, I had my food anyway as I thought, they may have been busy, but thought a would comment on it next time I ordered.

Today I called in as oppose to order via the APP and while speaking to an attendant called ADRIANA I mention to her what had happened on the last order and her answer was “well, you ate and had made no complaints on the app so the food must have been good.” I found it insulting that she took my complain as a lie of some sort and reacted as I had no reason to complain. I placed the order anyway and said I was coming to pick it up. After hanging up the phone I thought for a minute and said to myself: I should not be taken as a lier nor be treated this way and still give them business; so I quickly called them back (2minutes) and said I was cancelling the order and while trying to explain why, Adriana then swore at me over the phone. I’m still bemused that someone can swear at a client just like that, I have never been swore at as I treat everyone the upmost respect, it’s unacceptable to treat a client in that manner, I’m just lost for words and very disappointed at the management to allow such an unprepared individual handle phone calls, it does an extreme disservice to the business having someone talking to clients with such a low level of respect.

It’s with sadness that I write this note but neither myself nor another person needs to be treated this way, it’s outrageous someone thinking it’s ok to behave in such a manner.

I’m nothing but very disappointed at the treatment I received from...

I was curious to try this place even though is not quite near where I live. We decided to spend the day exploring the area and go for a late lunch at Kaipiras.

When I got in, I felt the place was not super clean but I thought it was just a bad first impression.

We first ordered some snacks and a beer. Beer was good - not ice cold, but good. Snacks were burnt. Had that overwhelmingly taste of bitter and were very grease. But we decided to not complain as it could simply be a frying mistake or oil not in the right temperature.

Anyhow, we ordered the mains - fillet mignon with rice and beans and chicken parmigiana. Fillet mignon was absolutely delicious - well cooked, tender and super tasty. Chicken parmigiana was… burnt. Milanese was burnt. Had to remove the Milanese cover in order to eat. They clearly don’t know how to fry food.

Now what bothered me the most was my partner finding mouse traps behind our table and in the toilet. It means my first impression was right: place is dirty. Too bad we only saw it in the end otherwise I would have left immediately.

Owner should perhaps consider a renovation: cleaning the place, new decor and furniture. And obviously training the staff how to fry food.

Needless to say I’m not coming back. Two stars are mainly due to delicious fillet mignon - nonetheless I profoundly regret having eaten in a place with...

We were a group of 13 Brazilians trying to go yesterday for lunch, but a female waiter/manager was extremely rude on the phone asking us to pay £30 per person to have lunch as we were more than 10 people. I was trying to state to her that we were ready to go to have lunch and did not accept that we need to pay £30 per person only because we were over 10 people. She said that we could come only if we accept this minimum charge £30, which made no sense to us. She should be happy that we were going to give her a huge business bringing 13 Brazilians for lunch (starters, main course, dessert and lots of drinks). The waiter even called me on the phone "arrogante", which is extremely rude. My take on it it is that she is the typical "barraco" person, who does not understand how to treat paying customers. The name "Barraco" is perfect to describe this awful place, located on a dodgy London street. I have been there once before and the food was below average and the restaurant looks awful. If you want a real experience in a "favela restaurant", ", barraco is your place... Yet be prepared to deal with all the rude staff and tourist trap expensive food. Dr...

Really amazing hidden gem - no faults atall. Staff are friendly but not excessively so - and the food is brilliant. Me and a friend shared some starters/appetisers between us and everything was cooked from fresh, clearly used good quality ingredients and all cooked to a perfect level. I think the atmosphere was great - lovely small hole in the wall place on a side street, not the place you would necessarily stumble into accidentally but definitely a lovely place that in my opinion was worth the journey we took from central for it! The pao de quejio were fantastic - as was everything else, with the calamari and the prawn and pork belly were both brilliant also. I can’t really think of any criticisms - I think it’s a nice relaxed restaurant with a chill atmosphere and feels like a good spot for a catch up or similar - or a bigger celebration - as they do have steaks and similar which I think may have been more festive in a sense - but as I experienced it was a fun and quality place that I would reccomend to anyone

I had a lovely dinner here a couple weeks ago with a friend. We were lucky enough to basically have the restaurant to ourselves - the restaurant is tucked away on a back street of Kilburn High Road - it was giving IYKYK vibes 🫰 The rump steak was to die for!! I loved how juicy and flavoursome it was. We had this with a spring salad and beans and shared a portion of yam fries. Great decision. We had Risoles de Cãmarones (similar to prawn croquettes) to start, which were more cheesy than fish. The Guarana fizzy drink goes well if you’re looking for something non-alcoholic - my friend said it’s quite popular across Portuguese speaking countries. Would definitely recommend for affordable; value for money; and authentic vibes. Will be back to try more.

We went here because it was well rated and near our hotel. It is a quite small place on a sleepy street. We ordered drinks and our sons meal first, and ordered our meals a bit later. After about 20 minutes the same waitress came back to ask if we wanted to order?????? There are only like 5 tables in the whole place. Not sure how she forgot. The food finally came and tasted fine. But then my husband was up all night going to the toilet (he has a fish stew). That was disappointing. But the drinks were good (and strong and cheap), and my meal and my sons meal were good.
