Indulging in the culinary delights at Kakki Katsu was an unforgettable and delightful experience. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and flavors that awaited me. The Vegetable Crispy Gyoza was a perfect fusion of crispy, golden-brown goodness with a burst of delectable vegetable fillings. Each bite left me craving for more. The Veg Spring Rolls were a crispy revelation, boasting a delightful medley of vegetables, skillfully wrapped in a thin, crispy shell. The satisfying crunch combined with the harmonious blend of flavors made it an appetizer worth savoring. The main course, Pumpkin Katsu Curry, truly stole the show. The velvety smooth pumpkin katsu combined with the rich, aromatic curry sauce created a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. It was a heartwarming dish that left a lasting impression. To end the culinary journey on a sweet note, I savored the Mango Mochi dessert. The delicate and chewy mochi enveloping the luscious mango filling was a perfect finale to an already remarkable meal. The natural sweetness of mango was perfectly balanced, making it a heavenly treat. The icing on the cake was the impeccable service provided by the staff. They were warm, friendly, and accommodating, making me feel welcome throughout the dining experience. A special mention goes to the outstanding chefs, Sam and Rajiv, whose culinary expertise elevated the entire dining affair. Their dedication to creating mouthwatering dishes was evident in every bite, and their passion for cooking shone through in each meticulously crafted plate. All in all, my experience at Kakki Katsu was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of delightful dishes, attentive staff, and the skills of Sam and Rajiv made it an exceptional culinary journey. I can't wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing vegetarian offerings in the future.

Initially came down to Dalston to try out the popular afrikana but was told that they do booking only. So I decided to give this place a shot which was just down the road. Best katsu curry I've had in a long while, the balance of flavours was to perfection and the portion size was huge (the leftovers the following morning hit different) The starters were also brilliant, I'd recommend the salt and pepper squid, as for mains there's an option to get a mix of katsu chicken and teriyaki chicken, both taste great. The staff were all friendly and the shop seats maybe 25-30 people I will be returning!!

Ordered the Vegan Set. There was ONLY ONE Gyoza and ONE Spring roll(nothing like the image on their site. The Pumpkin croquette's were 2 x Pumpkin ONLY and the other two were deep fried potato mash. Upon collection were not informed of substitutes. The 'salad' was just dry shredded cabbage. Needed to add some soy sauce at home just to give taste. Also no Sauce included as per the image. Rice is dried out! Again added own sauce at home. Second time we ordered and sad to say last time, as first order was also quite a let down. Always try to not judge on one order but this was just awful!

I will start by saying I love their food - my family and I have been eating here for many years and we have spent a four figure sum here in aggregate. I usually send the kids to pick up orders, and one time we were overcharged - not by a lot, but £8 or £9 - probably an extra dish mistakenly added to the bill. I phoned up immediately to ask for a refund, and they agreed there had been an overcharge and said not to worry, they would take the money off the next order instead. As we are regulars, I agreed. Unfortunately, for various reasons the next orders were not suitable - when eating in you have to pay as you order on an electronic system, so no way of getting a discount. My partner ordered a takeout and paid by card in advance. My kids went and forgot to ask. The family ordered a few times when I was away. A few months after, I collected an order, which again had been prepaid by card, reminded them, and they did remember, said again no problem, and that they would take it off the next order. Then summer holidays - we are usually out of London for a few months. I finally get to do an order and go in person to collect - but they said now it's too late to get the discount! It's a shame - it really is a tiny amount of money, but I suppose it's the principle of having been knowingly overcharged and not refunded, and it leaves a slightly sour taste. The moral of the story is 1) check your bill as clearly they are prone to overcharge sometimes 2) never trustingly accept promises of money back in the future, as it may well not...

I order here once a week but, never again. I ordered my usual Teriyaki Set and actually said it twice to the both of them. Sat down and waited. When it was ready, they charged me £8.95 and I’m used to paying less for the set. The man then says I ordered a special??? At that point, he could have said my mistake and be on my way. I get home, open up the food and none of the prawn or battered veg was in my meal. I called up and once again, he assured me I ordered a special yet, I said it twice. His response was, he would add extra prawn and veg the next time I order!?! So, you over charged me and didn’t give me the meal I asked for twice…bloody great customer service. No, I won’t be returning to order...
