Thought I’d try this place out as it’s very similar to the well known restaurant and reading so many rave reviews. Ordered the 37 special which consists of chicken or lamb shawarma, whole chicken with your choice of spice (lemon and herb, mild, fiery, bbq and sweet chilli coconut)2 portions of chips and 10 wings again with choice of flavour and 2 drinks for £25. Everything was nicely packaged with double layers to prevent for spillage which was good. Disappointed there was no salad or sauces, salt or napkins to accompany the meal and the amount of oil and grease in the wrap and chicken was ghastly good thing about the packaging. Lamb shawarma: I was looking forward to this looked nicely wrapped but when opening realised how oily it was. It was coming through the second foil layer and upon opening it up you can see the naan was practically soaked in it, putting you off on site as it’s supposed to be grilled and the ‘healthy’ option. There’s barely any salad in there one cucumber and couple strands of lettuce and a pinch of purple cabbage, need to avoid this one maybe the chicken shawarma is better?! The whole chicken: we chose the mild flavour as the kids were eating this one. Not really eye appealingly and the skin was hanging off in places the neck bone was still attached, and the excess oil was again an issue. Had to literally discard bits and try to salvage the chicken. Chips: the portion size is good, these were nice surprisingly not too oily and still crispy. The wings: got the bbq wings these were better than the whole chicken. It had a mild sticky and smoky sauce with fried chicken wings that meat just pulled away from the bones, they are a bit small so you can eat a lot good thing there’s 10 in the portion. Overall wasn’t to pleased with shawarma and whole chicken you maybe better off going to a proper...

If you’re located on the long stretch of Forest Gate’s Woodgrange Road in east London, then, like us, you’ve welcomed Kitchen 37 as the answer to your prayers.
Although there’s plenty of joints there to grab a quick bite, what was sorely missing for far too long was an actual quality ‘Doner & Grill’ dine in restaurant.
The proof that such an establishment was a long time in the coming is the huge queue that greeted its grand opening last month.
And with eye-popping, multi-coloured decor, this attractively spacious eatery offers cushioned seating for 34 guests, including two circular boothes which comfortably seat upto four diners.
It’s obvious that while plenty of thought has gone into the aesthetical side of things, convenience hasn’t been overlooked either with ‘scan to see menu’ stickers affixed to each table.
And if there’s anything that proves Kitchen 37’s byline “serious about food”, it’s their beautifully designed menu and all the appetising choices that’ll have you coming back in a hurry time and time again.
Finally, don’t forget their freshly made Milk Cakes, which come in two flavours, Biscoff or Pistachio, and are just to die for if you’d excuse the expression.
And to further prove how “serious about food” Kitchen 37 is, they’ve introduced Loyalty Cards, collectable in-store, and which can earn regular customers a free regular side, free 1/2 chicken, or a free drink...
Read moreFirstly it's great to see a new food venue opening up in woodgrange road as currently all we have are about 6 chicken & chips shops. But sadly I have been left disappointed by Kitchen37, I didn't bother going over the first weekend when everything was half price as I knew quality will always be poor due to demand, so decided to go on a regular price day. Brought a Hawaiian Burger Meal and Americana Burger Meal. To start with the chips which were steak chips which disappointingly were soggy and greasy to the level where they where all squashed and stuck together, steak chips should be firm, crispy and individual and to make it even worse bag was half empty like they run out of chips. Now the burgers sad to say absolute joke, they sell for £6 therefore should be a gourmet style/quality freshly made however no, they were 1/4 pounder frozen patty's most probably brought from JJ foods, if I wanted these I can just go to any other shop and buy same burger for £2.50. the 1 star I gave was for the deco which I will say was nice and good amount of seating. Sadly I don't recommend anyone wasting there money here. I saw 2 I assume owners walking around a lady and man asking customer if food was ok and instead they should be more worried about training there staff on how to cook the food correctly and then you can tell they spent alot of money on shop that they now cutting back on quality ingredients to save money, which...
