Dining at Kitchen India was an absolute delight from start to finish. To begin, I was served a plate of mini pappadoms accompanied by a variety of three flavorful dips. Each dip was unique and bursting with flavor, setting the tone for the meal ahead.
For the appetizers, I ordered the Tandoori Chicken, and it was nothing short of perfection. The chicken was tender, juicy, and marinated to perfection with just the right balance of spices. Next, I tried the Chilli Chicken, which delivered an authentic and bold taste. It was a bit on the spicier side, making it an excellent choice for spice lovers. However, if you prefer milder flavors, you might want to skip this dish. But for those who enjoy a kick of spice, it's a must-try!
Moving on to the main course, I ordered the Chicken Biryani, and it was phenomenal. The fragrant rice was infused with a medley of spices, and the chicken was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. To complement the biryani, I tried the Cheese Garlic Naan, which was an absolute highlight. The naan was served both crispy and soft, as per my preference, showcasing their ability to customize dishes to the customer's liking.
The exceptional customer service at Kitchen India enhanced the entire experience. The waitstaff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, even recommending a dessert to complete my meal. Based on their suggestion, I tried the Kulfi, a traditional Indian dessert, and it was a perfect 10/10. Creamy, rich, and full of authentic flavors, it was the ideal way to end the meal.

Read moreSummary: Excellent food—some of the best Indian cuisine we’ve had in a long time. The ambiance is more café-style due to the building’s design. The only downside was the service, which could be improved, but the food more than made up for it.
Full Review: We recently dined at Kitchen India in the Old County Hall building and were genuinely impressed by the food—it was outstanding, with every dish full of authentic flavors and beautifully presented. It’s honestly some of the best Indian food we’ve enjoyed in years. The setting is quite casual, with a café-style atmosphere shaped by the building’s architecture. While it’s not a traditional restaurant ambiance, it’s comfortable and welcoming.
The only area for improvement was the service. Our main courses arrived before we’d finished our starters, and dishes were brought out as they were ready, rather than all together. It’s a minor issue, and easily fixed with a bit more communication about how the food will be served. A simple meet-and-greet and a quick explanation would make a big difference.
That said, the food was so good that it outweighed any service hiccups. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend Kitchen India to anyone looking for top-quality Indian cuisine in a...
Read moreI visited Kitchen India with my girl last week and was really disappointed overall. But let's start with positive. I ordered some fish, which was actually very nice. She ordered lamb rogan and it was spicier than she would have liked and expected (she asked about its spiciness before ordering). Also, portions were small, especially when it comes to rice. At the same time prices were high but that's my opinion and I wouldn't deduct anything for that if everything else was good. In addition there was a 12,5% service charge, which was annoying to say the least! What's worst is that they had added an apple juice that we didn't order to our receipt and if I didn't notice it I would have paid for something that we didn't order, in fact we didn't order any juices!! The waiter just said sorry and gave a new (corrected) receipt but obviously it left a very bad taste and made me feel uncomfortable too. I don't know if they did it on purpose to charge extra or it was just a mistake but I advise everyone to be very CAREFUL and check the receipt whenever you eat there! As the food wasn't bad I still give 2 as...
