TLDR: Poor service, long waits and racial discrimination. DONT GO HERE :)
To start, it’s genuinely a shame that I can’t give this place negative stars for service, because they’ve certainly earned it. Here’s my experience at this train wreck of an establishment:
I arrived 15 minutes early for a 7 PM booking with my girlfriend. After being seated, we waited over 35 minutes to even place an order—only managing to do so after flagging down a passing staff member. We initially assumed they were just short-staffed, but that excuse didn’t hold up when every other table that arrived after us was attended to within minutes. Meanwhile, we were left completely ignored.
After finally placing our order, we then endured another hour-long wait while watching people who ordered well after us receive their food first. It was only when my girlfriend politely inquired that we were told, "another 10 minutes." Unsurprisingly, exactly 10 minutes later, our food arrived piping hot—which obviously meant it had just been made after we asked. And for all that waiting? The food was mediocre at best and absolutely not worth the hour-and-a-half ordeal.
But the final insult? After finishing, I politely asked for the bill. The server said "yes" and then… did everything except bring it. Instead, she wandered around, cleaned tables, attended to other customers, and generally found every excuse to avoid us. I watched another table ask for their bill a few minutes later—and she brought it to them immediately.
I asked a different staff member. Same result. Only when my girlfriend asked for the third time did they finally bring the bill. And the audacity? When she requested to remove the service charge (because, let’s be real, what service?), the server had the nerve to ask "why?". As if waiting 90 minutes for subpar food and being blatantly ignored wasn’t reason enough.
And let’s not sugarcoat the reality—there was clear racial bias at play. I was the only Black person in that restaurant and, unsurprisingly, the one treated the worst. The staff had no problem ignoring me, yet had no issue responding to my non-Black girlfriend.
If you enjoy being disrespected, ignored, and served mediocre food after waiting an eternity, then by all means, eat here. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere else. Trust me I work nearby and hell, there's a Subway across the road—at least there, you’ll actually get served. Having lived here my whole life, I've dined everywhere in London, from local chicken shops to Michelin-starred restaurants, and this was, hands down, the worst dining experience I’ve ever had.
If you want good Japanese food? Do yourself a favour, go somewhere else. Because it sure as...

I had an absolutely awful experience at this restaurant. We arrived at 6:45 PM for our 7:00 PM reservation, yet the staff completely ignored us when we tried to place our order. We then waited a shocking 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food, watching as multiple tables who arrived after us were served promptly.
When we asked how much longer our food would take, we were told “another 10 minutes.” However, when it finally arrived, it was scalding hot, clearly made last-minute—confirming our suspicion that they had forgotten about us entirely.
The lack of attention didn’t stop there. We had to ask for the bill three times because the staff kept blatantly ignoring us. Even when we requested to remove the service charge (because what service?), we were met with pushback and questioning, as if it wasn’t obvious why we were dissatisfied.
To make matters worse, my partner was treated with clear racial bias. He asked about our food and the bill multiple times, only to be disregarded—yet when I asked the same questions, they suddenly paid attention. It was humiliating and unacceptable.
I understand that the restaurant was busy and possibly understaffed, but that doesn’t excuse prioritizing other guests over us and making us feel like we were being deliberately ignored. Watching others receive immediate service while we were left waiting was frustrating enough, but the way my partner was treated made it even worse.
As for the food? After waiting that long, we were too hungry to even tell if it was good or if we were just desperate to eat.
Would never return and do not recommend. If you care about customer service and fair treatment,...

Our large group of 12 planned to celebrate a birthday and brought a cake. The manager's demand for a cakeage fee of £5 per person, totaling £60, was more than the cake itself cost. We then asked whether we could keep the cake in their fridge, but they wanted £10 for that as well. Despite us being their largest table of the evening and our polite attempts to negotiate, they were completely inflexible. When we mentioned that our service charge would far exceed £10, a staff member rudely responded, "that's okay, it doesn't matter," adding, "It's not my restaurant, we have a manager." While this might have been partly a language barrier issue, the hostile attitude was undeniable.
The food was also a major letdown. The okonomiyaki, in particular, was subpar compared to other nearby Japanese restaurants like OKAN Southbank or Abeno. While those places may be smaller and not accommodate a large party, their food is far superior.
Service was virtually nonexistent. Dishes were simply dropped at one end of our table, forcing our group to pass plates down to the correct person. We had to repeatedly flag down staff to get all of our ordered food. We ultimately gave the restaurant two stars, primarily because the food was edible and the space could accommodate our large group. Frankly, I would only recommend this place to...
