KOI Ramen Bar (Herne Hill) — Restaurant in London

This used to be my 2nd favourite ramen place. I usually order every after my 12 hour shift as their tonkotsu ramen is a delicious meal. However, today my friend and I had a delivery tonkotsu ramen with extra noodles. It arrived quickly from UberEats since I ordered priority. But the moment I saw the noodles and tasted it, it tasted sour and soggy. I lost my appetite and called the restaurant. I talked to a person named Mel and told him about the issue. He kept talking over me and told me to complain to Ubereats so that they can refund it. All I wanted to have was an apology for the unacceptable meal and I did not get that. :( not ordering...

I'm a huge fan of Koi Ramen, which is why I am so disappointed in this location and felt the need to write a review. I ordered two ramen (1 naked, no broth and 1 tonkotsu) for delivery and both (!) arrive with stodgy, soggy noodles and the broth on the ramen looked like it was sitting around for some time and just tasted wrong - absolutely not made fresh. The meat tasted old/stale and the nitamago had zero flavour.

It looks like I'm not the only one who's having this experience either....

If the food isn't gonna be made properly, why bother operating this location? If you want good ramen go to Koi Ramen @ Elephant and Castle -...

Come here for lunch a fair bit, price is really good, portion size is perfect, staff are polite and food always comes quickly👌🏻 The last 2-3 times I’ve come however, the staff are blasting bashment/ dancehall at full volume from a portable speaker… it’s completely at odds with the vibe you’d expect from a ramen bar, being subjected to the most aneurysm-inducing music from a tinny speaker while you’re trying to have a quiet lunch, not to mention how vulgar the lyrics to these songs are- it’s completely appropriate for a public restaurant. never used to be an issue at this branch before, and you don’t experience this at the...
