Have visited this establishment on several occasions despite living in Greenwich for over 25years. I have become a lover of the pastrami and mortadella hence the revisit. But in all honesty, the owner (gentleman) and his wife are extremely rude. 1 out of 5 visits have ever been pleasant, and today was extremely disturbing. As a happy customer (of their produce) not their service, I greeted the gentleman with a jolly hello and he replied yeah, in such a rude disgusting manor. I then decided to leave but returned to confront him, he then proceeed to lie and say he said ‘how can I help you’! Now that’s a lot more syllables in a sentence than just the word ‘yeah’ and would most definitely of heard what he said as we was the only customers in his shop. The wife to has been rude in 2 out 4 visits. No people skills with customers they don’t know, how discouraging! Italian customer service was clearly not present. No authenticity and produce all probably from JJ’s food service. Is it really all home made? I leave it to you, the beautiful public to gain your interpretation...
Read moreFantastic busy little deli that serves a variety of ingredients and makes a diverse range of sandwiches and toasties with fresh ingredients in front of you.
I got a tuna and cheese sandwich, was offered the choice of focaccia or ciabatta, then asked if I wanted to add anything else. I didn't want to but the person behind me ordered a very unique sandwich so lots of customisation available. My sandwich was toasted and only cost £3.10? I also got an iced latte £2.20 with a shot of caramel 50p extra. Total price was £6.80.
Workers are efficient and friendly. Just to be aware it is quite busy at lunch time and there's no seating inside.
Toastie is great, drink is great. Would definitely come back to at least try the other toasties.
Visited again on a hot day in June 2025 and got a brie, avocado and fresh tomato toastie and a large caramel iced coffee for £7.10 (toastie was £3.90 and the coffee was £2.70 plus 50p for caramel). Ate the toastie hot and as soon as possible this time and it was delicious, so crispy. These guys work so hard, really...
